Great location! Close to transport links and a close walk to Vatican City. 20 minutes and you’re across the river in the heart of Rome. Wonderful hosts and great facilities! Looking forward to coming back soon!

Lovely cosy and clean property. We had shower in our bedroom which is very convenient. Communal kitchen was clean and tidy. 10 mins walk from Vatican, 50 mins walk from Colosseum. The host is understanding and easy to communicate with, replies promptly.

Simone and Anette are the best! They are not there 24h, but are super helpful from the minute we arrive at 12am until the day we left. What a beautiful couple! You can use the kitchen at anytime you like and we were always served the best croissants in Rome. The hotel is in an apartment block - 4th floor with a retro style lift, though the rooms are styled like hotel rooms. The room was fantastic, with great decor and character. Super comfortable stylish room, in awesome secure location. The location, transport by bus, taxi or train was fantastic. short walk to the Vatican. Extremely convenient location. We would definitely come back and stay here again!

Rooms are situated on the 4th floor in a beautiful traditional apartment block accessed via small traditional Lift. Spacious bedroom with good en-suite and a large kitchen area where self serve continental breakfast is available. ( And hot drinks day and night- with an excellent coffee machine!) Your choice of fresh croissants are delivered to the kitchen every morning! Bedroom decor and furniture is quite basic - traditional old tiles rather than carpet, open shelving unit as a wardrobe and the curtains could do with being upgraded- but I found this all quite charmingly original. The room is comfortable and warm (Feb stay- cold nights) with adjustable heating and good air con unit if needed- we just opened the window. Good quality sheets and pillows although, as seems to be the case in Italian hotels, the beds are quite firm! Situated very close to Vatican and just a few yards away from Metro from where you can easily and cheaply get to all other landmarks. We also managed to get directly from the FCO airport to the apartment on the train and metro -was surprisingly easy. The venue is in a less touristy area than the other side of the river but has good little cafes, supermarkets, shops etc immediately around it. The owners Annette and Simone were excellent at letting us know how to access keys on arrival and were very helpful by text message throughout. An immediate response to any queries. Overall good value and highly recommended.

The property is beautiful, once you get inside and taste the coffee and croissant for breakfast there's nothing to search of. Metro station close by, lot of restaurants around. The property is managed by Simone and Annette, we've only seen Simone and he is very nice, he would answer all of your questions and help you. Perfect place to stay for Italian vacation. What are you waiting for? do not hesitate, i highly recommend Old Kitchen Vatican Suites. Thank you Simone!

This is a great establishment to stay at. It is ten minutes walk from the Vatican and bus routes to areas if historical interest. Property is very clean and host was so helpful in terms of travelling around Rome in addition to anything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and have a kitchen facility for breakfast which was provided was great. I would stay here without doubt again and have already recommended to friends and family

Perfect location for a stay in Rome. 20 mins walk from all the main tourist sites, but also right in the heart of the main area where locals go to eat so many many good affordable restaurants. Included continental breakfast is a big and lovely bonus. Shower plenty powerful. I didn’t fully get on with the bed but partner was OK with it (i know beds are very personal things!). Host was charming and kept the place spotless.

This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. It is basic but very functional, a great location and had a great layout. The staff was great and it felt like you were staying in a home flat versus a stuffy hotel. The value for money was excellent and I would stay her again if I returned to Rome and would recommend this hotel!

Great location. Simone and Annette were really helpful, by email before our arrival and on arrival. They were there to greet us, gave recommendations on places to visit and eat. The accommodation was spacious, very clean and comfortable.

Nice and clean. Upon arrival Adrian greeted us at the door. He provided us with a map of the city and the locations of the tourist site. He pointed out the kitchen that was for every guest to use. He provided us the cell phone number of the owner of the hotel. He was very helpful. Room was nice and clean. The only problem was the wi fi, off and then on and off again. The following morning we were meet by the owner of the hotel. He was very nice and helpful. Hotel was close to everything and was in walking distance for all site seeing. The Vatican was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and mass was given by the Pope on wednesday at 930 am. The metro train was just round the block. All and all we had a great time. We give it a 9.5 rating.

It was amazing. The room was lovely, the place was quirky, the owners Annette and Simon were wonderful and friendly. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a stress free, easy going accommodation. There were quite a few reasonably priced cafe/bars in the same road and the metro was just around the corner.

For our first visit to Rome this was an ideal spot, we enjoyed walking around and finding something new around each corner, we even walked to the centre each day as it wasn’t that far away and it was a great way to learn your surroundings! The room was the perfect size for a long weekend, the bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent. The area felt really safe and we had no worries as it took 3 keys to get to the b&b. The little kitchen was great, lovely juice and yoghurts, the best was the delicious fresh chocolate croissants waiting for us each morning! What a lovely touch! The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried, every message they replied extremely quickly and were so useful! Sadly we didn’t get to meet them properly due to bad timings but they keep a wonderful b&b and would happily recommend this place to anyone planning on going to Rome! Also a shout out to Adrian who helped us With all our silly questions!

We had a fantastic stay at Old Kitchen. Simone and Annette met us on arrival and gave us some fantastic tips and restaurant recommendations. We can definitely recommend nearby L'Archetto, and La Fraschetta in Trastevere. The accommodation had everything that we needed for a base, and is situated in an amazing traditional Italian apartment block. Fresh croissants arrive at about 7.30 each morning for breakfast, courtesy of the bakery downstairs. The fridge is well stocked with cheeses, juices, milk, yoghurts and fruit. There is also bread and fresh coffee courtesy of the bean-to-cup coffee machine. There's also tea available for tea drinkers. Old Kitchen is really well situated for getting to The Vatican City for early starts. It's about a 10-15 minute walk, and was perfect for us. The nearest Metro station, Ottaviano, is about 5 minutes round the corner. We got the bus from Ciampino airport to Termini station in Rome (45 minutes, 9 euros return ticket), then the Metro to the accommodation (1.5 euros). For the rest of our trip/sightseeing, we didn't use public transport at all, we just walked everywhere. We would definitely recommend Old Kitchen and would happily stay there again.

Extremely helpful propieter who was kind and thoughtful. Our only complaint was the WIFI which was frustratingly intermittent, and they were unable to resolve during our stay. However the room and facilities were clean, and really well organised with fresh croissant each morning, great coffee and lots of food in the fridge

A great stay in a convenient location to the Vatican and Museum. Wonderful hosts in Annette and Simone. Annette spent alot of time explaining the self-help breakfast and great coffee machine, how to get around Rome, the best areas to visit and eat and Simone was likewise was most helpful. Have already recommended others to stay here.

Sehe gepflegte und schöne Räume. Wenn die Fenster geschlossen sind ist von dem Lautstärke Roms nichts mehr zu hören. Füßläufig 5 min zum Vatikan und super zentral gelegen. Großes Lob an die Hausherren wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Excelente ubicacion, acceso facil al metro (1 cuadra), todos los servicios. Simone es un excelente anfitrion. En todo momento esta pendiente y atiende a todas las inquietudes q puedas tener. Acceso a la cocina 24 horas (yogurt, cafe, fruta) y todas las mañanas tienes un crossaint. Espacio suficiente y limpio, solo mejoraria la decoracion y mejoraria los blancos (sabanas y edredon).

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Old Kitchen. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und mit allen wichtigen Infos versorgt. Die Zimmer waren groß und wir konnten jederzeit die Küche benutzen (Kochen geht aber nicht). Zum Frühstück gibts jeden Morgen frische Croissants. Butter, Marmelade, Joghurt und Müsli gibt es auch. Simpel und ausreichend. Der Petersplatz ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel um die Ecke. Wir können das Old Kitchen auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Es ist eine nette kleine Unterkunft. Sie liegt zentral und ist daher laut. Die Fenster sind schallisoliert. Da das Wetter nachts noch kühl war konnten wir bei geschlossenem Fenster schlafen. Die Zimmer sind herrhörig. Wir haben die Nachbarn streiten gehört.Die Matratzen waren schon durchgelegen. Wenn wir Fragen hatten konnten wir den Gastgeber telefonisch oder per SMS kontaktieren, da er so nie anwesend war. Das war für uns aber kein Problem. Es gibt eine kleine Selbstbedienungsküche, welche zu jederzeit benutzbar war. Das war sehr praktisch.

Das morgendliche frische Hörnchen war pünktlich um 8 Uhr im eigenen Körbchen direkt aus der Bäckerei. Frischeprodukte im Kühlschrank, Kaffee/Tee etc. zur freien Verfügung. Simone ist ein perfekter Gastgeber und steht mit Rat & Tat zur Verfügung. Man bekommt einen eigenen Schlüssel und kann kommen und gehen wie man möchte. Fußläufig zur Metro-Station Ottaviano. Rundum ein perfekter Aufenthalt.
