Spacious flat in the middle of Rome

3 big bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (!) in the middle of Rome! Very practical and big value for money. The (online) reception is exceptionally good - attentive, kind and fast, helping with everything from tourist advice to booking a taxi to the airport. Highly recommended.

Perfect location walking distance to Vatican, and close to bus to get to other locations. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. We had 2 families with 5 teens in total and had enough beds for all. The place was very clean, and had a washing machine which was very useful. A drying rack or clothesline to hang laundry would be ideal but we made do. The beds are functional and clean but not very comfortable, pillows pretty lumpy - really the only downside. There is not a lot of room in the kitchen/common area, but we were not in the apartment much other than to sleep. Perfect for our needs. Neighborhood felt safe, grocery store 1 1/2 blocks away. Definitely recommend!

On the overall, the property was very inhospitable. As per instructions, we informed the property owner that we would be checking in @ approx. 10.30 pm as our train was scheduled to arrive @ 10.05 pm. We were then asked to pay Euro 50 for late check-in, as against the amount of Euro 20 stated on the website. We were further informed that they would book the taxi for us at a cost of Euro 110 from the station to the house, whilst the actual cost for a small taxi was approx. Euro 20 per trip. We were left with no other choice but to accept these conditions which left a very bad taste in our mouth. Although, tired from our journey, we had to wait for approx.15 mins at the train station for their vehicle to arrive & when it did we had to carry all our luggage a few meters away from the entrance to where their vehicle was parked. Whilst waiting, we had observed that there were plenty of taxis available at the taxi stand near the entrance & if we had taken a public taxi, we would have reached the property within the check-in time of 10.30 pm thereby avoiding all the additional late check-in fees & taxi fare. We had booked for 9 pax for 4 nights & were provided with just 6 tissue rolls for toilet use for 4 nights. When we requested the owner for more, she informed us that this was part of the welcome kit. If we required more, we had to purchase. Frying pan was not provided, so we were forced to order breakfast from out. The garbage was not once cleared during our stay.

This building is old, elevator is only can hold 3 people ìf small, very noisy when you open or closed the elevator doors. I really few sorry for people staying nearby the elevator. Rate are high, very limited on amenitie, only provide 2 small rolls of toilet for each bathroom for 2 days stay. Flushed toilet is very noise, besure put toilet tissue in garbage otherwise it will not flush.
