"A lovely B & B in a quiet Cotswold village with access to walking paths & quick drive to nearby towns. The owners were so lovely & welcomed us with their 2 dogs & an American flag. The bedroom was comfortable & bathroom had lovely products with a warming towel rack. The food was delicious in the comfort of their dining area/ living space. We felt like family "
"The cottage is quintessential Cotswolds -- great place to stay with a family of four. Despite being a cottage, there was plenty of space for four w a lot of luggage. Very walkable with a beautiful ancient church at the end of the lane and good restaurants (Chequers is my favorite) a few minutes away. Parking is super easy with street parking on the lane itself (limited), main road 50 feet away (some), and long-term car park 200 feet away (a lot of spaces). We used Chipping Norton as a base for the British Grand Prix weekend and Oxford, and it worked great. Laundry facility was great (it washes and dries, too) and communication with the property manager was super easy, as was checking in and checking out. Nice and friendly neighbors, too."
"Excellent venue, friendly attentive staff very knowlagable of the local area and very helpful. Great selection of drinks on offer, nice beer garden, big well designed clean room, nice selection of refreshments and toiletries included with the room, excellent town centre location and great value for money, Definatley reccomend to anyone visiting chipping norton "
"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log!
Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy.
There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. We pulled up to the cottage easily to drop off but when the film set was in place that week only, we carried back to the premier inn really close car park. At the time only £3 a night if you pay in the machine right by the premier inn entrance, as advised by their staff. Worked really well. Would highly recommend using it for the cottage as it made coming and going from the cottage really easy with lots of spaces.
(The only very tiny issues to highlight to the owners need to maintain the path out the back of the property, to make more pleasant use of the back gate for rubbish. Also just some maintenance like the blind in the bathroom)
However I would definitely book again as it’s a great base for Blenheim and the rest of the beautiful Cotswolds.
One bathroom which has a massive shower, the lounge was cosy with a log burner and the kitchen was well appointed for our short stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Windsor Cottage.
Thank you!"
"The location was close to the high street and conveniently accessible to nearby attractions in the Cotswolds. The house was cozy and warm, making it a great choice for a family winter getaway for a few days. However, there were a few minor details that could be improved, such as the TV remote lacking batteries (we had to purchase and replace them ourselves) and the kitchen knives being quite dull, which made them difficult to use. These small points aside, we had an enjoyable stay overall."
"Lovely little cottage, a home from home. So clean and thought out, even down to a pint of milk in the fridge to enjoy a cup of tea!
Host has thought of everything you could need, kitchen basics including washing up liquid, cooking oil, tea/coffee/suager, even shower gel.
A great base to enjoy the Cotswolds or just the local area. You need a car as it’s in a quiet village. There is a pub next door which was recommended but wasn’t open when we stayed but there’s plenty of other options for food, you just need to travel."
