"It was very special experience to stay at Japanese traditonal house with my family. It was a little bit far from the main sightseeing site but we were ok because we had a car. Kinkakuji was especially awesome."

"
The location of the hotel is amazing, right next to a very popular photography spot in Gion. Because of this, expect some noises as there are always photographers outside around the clock. Washer dryer is really convenient. The rooms are very well maintained. Short walk to many stores and shops in Gion. "

"What a great place to stay in Kyoto! So close to Gion, pontocho alley and many other attractions. The house was very clean and check in and out was very easy. The host is very communicative as well. We absolutely loved it."

"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. The bed in the second bedroom is on the floor, which isn't a bad thing considering this is an authentic experience,...

"Great spot to stay at if you are driving all over Kyoto. They have their own parking spots. The place was really spacious and offered free bikes to use around town. They even have a washer and dryer. I’ll definitely come back!"

"This place is amazing! I stayed here with 4 other people and it was perfect. There is plenty of room for more people but since there is only one shower you’ll need to make a schedule for bathing if you are bringing a larger group.
Check in was a little confusing. I was told the keys were left in the mailbox ahead of time but the sign on the door asked us to contact the property before we entered. When I contacted them all they said was the keys are in the mailbox. I assume it was a google...

"This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. High-quality beddings. The living room was surprisingly spacious—easily accommodating our big group with over ten large suitcases! Located near Fushimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple, it was very peaceful at night. We had brought thick bedding, worried that Kyoto might be cold, but the rooms were extremely comfortable. When we asked for more bowls, chopsticks, and a...

"Hotel is in a great location for tourism in Kyoto; very short walk across the river to the old Geisha district, and right on a major shopping/restaraunt thoroughfare. Also within walking distance of the subway line that serves the Mt. Inari area. The room was sizeable by Japanese hotel standards, and included a very spacious shower and full bath. Everything was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. The room was also quiet and well-insulated."
"Great location, with awesome amenities and clean and modern look ! The hotel is very close to all the site seeing activities and very close to train station"
"This hotel is in a very good location, just across from Kyoto Station, which has many restaurants and shops. It's also next to a shopping mall and only about a 5-minute walk to Aeon Mall. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby and reception area looked fancy and even had a tea room. When we arrived early, they stored our luggage for free, so we could explore the city before checking in. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices including Western and traditional options, and they also had several options for different dietary needs. There is a laundry facility, massage chairs, and a hot spring bath (onsen) available. Basic toiletries like toothbrushes, shaving supplies, and lotions can be found at the reception that you just pick up. Our room was clean and quiet. The AC worked perfectly. It was a standard size room for Japan, with three single beds. The only minor downside is that the toilet, which is in a separate room, isn't perfectly designed—if you have long legs, your knees might touch the wall. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."
"If I could give them 10 stars I would. Staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. There is an excellent bakery on the first floor as well as the restaurant. I managed to snag some fried fish tacos and they were delicious (and I’m from Texas). The cocktails served on the 6th floor patio were amazing. There’s a great vibe there."
"Good hotel, well placed if you are looking to be very close to the touristy area. Very close to a train station, tons of services around as well. Bed is comfy, with a firm mattress. Bathroom shower is great, and having access to a public bath is a huge plus. Only caveat is that the hotel is mostly packed with tourists, which brings its own set of issues in the public bath (haven't seen anything outrageous, but definitely a few "no no" in bath etiquettes). Room has thick carpet, which was a bit of an issue for me due to allergies (they do vacuum regularly). Convenience store not even a 30 seconds walk away. For me, it's too close to the super touristy area, so I might think twice next time I book in Kyoto. It may sound picky, but to each their own in terms of what you look for in terms of experience. For the price and everything I listed above, hard to beat. They do not have a laundry facility, but there are two close by. Staff were super helpful, polite, etc"
"This is our second time staying at Forza Kyoto. Cannot beat the convenience of the location. The staff were kind, patient and helpful. We appreciated and enjoyed our stay."
