The Westleton Crown

"We enjoyed a one-night stay with our dogs, who were made to feel welcome straight away. Water bowls for furry friends are placed all over the premises. The weather was warm & because our room was first floor, it was a warm bedroom so we were grateful for the fan provided. Although the window of our room overlooked the main road, we slept with the window open & this was fine, as itโs such a quiet area. Check-in was efficient; the receptionist was very polite & helpful. We had some lovely teas, coffee & biscuits in the room. Unfortunately, the sink & bath taps were both problematic. The cold tap in the sink ran hot, unless you left it running for ages, after which it eventually ran cold. The hot tap in the sink was scalding hot. Iโm 5โ7โ & was unable to stand under the shower head over the bath, I had to stoop to fit under it. The bath taps were also very sensitive, in that a minor turn in one direction turned the hot water from tepid to scalding. So thereโs a clear problem with plumbing, which we reported. There was a wide choice for breakfast, but the restaurant was very busy with few waiting staff who were run off their feet. So when I asked for a flat white, I was told they could only serve this after breakfast finished at 10am; they were too busy before then. The only coffee served at breakfast was filter. We both chose avocado & poached eggs on sourdough. The toast had no butter, which meant that the bread was disappointingly tough. Overall, a lovely place to stay"

"The staff where very attentive, helpful, and nothing with a problem, My partner and I stayed one night for our two year anniversary, and we where giving an upgrade room, with Rose petals in the roon with a card wishing us happy anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and Is surrounded by beautiful gardens. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel especially for a special romantic break"

"I booked 2 rooms to celebrate my Dadโs birthday. The hotel were extremely accommodating with our room request. We booked spa access for the morning of departure. The spa is an excellent addition to the hotel with great views over the harbour. Only one small negative โฆ we were told at the bar to find a table & they would take drinks order. We sat outside and waited 10 minutes with no service so ending up leaving and had cocktails elsewhere."
