"It’s our first time stay in this hotel. The environment is clean, quiet and comfortable, especially the bar area where we chill out foe a cup of coffee there. The staff also friendly make ourself at home. The breakfast is fresh and amazing. We will come here again! "

"The dining area felt very open and airy with a lovely view. The staff were friendly, happy and efficient. The room was great because we had a window that opened allowing fresh air, i stay in so many hotels that feel claustrophobic! "

"Good clean convenient hotel, comfy bed. Nice reception/bar area. Didn’t have food but menu looked reasonable. Excellent EV charging- 4 charge points working on Charge Assist app which was easy to use and good value. Downside is the car park charge but that seems to apply to all hotels in York. "

"Great stay with helpful staff. Food very good indeed. Only slight issue was the slowness of service at the bar for drinks and meals. Need more staff but those there were very good and friendly. Bathroom was fine but could do with an update. Good views from hotel bedroom. Extremely comfortable bed"

"We didn't like being in the basement, it was the same last time. However, the staff was super friendly and attentive. There has been a renovation which got their old beds replaced into ones that don't feel as comfy, unfortunately."

"We absolutely loved our stay! The place is beautiful, the room was amazing. We had a couple drinks at the hotel bar which felt high class but welcoming! We didn’t get to go to the rooftop because we didn’t book, but hear it’s lovely. Would have loved a nosy though! Highly recommend this hotel, we will be seeking out another Malmaison for another stay in the future! We paid for the car park which was a great addition and highly recommend doing this. I do think there needs to be a ‘hotel car park this way’ sign as we did have to drive around the block a few times and ask someone who was outside the hotel where it was. But honestly, so unbelievably worth the money! Added bonus that it is available so early until 2pm the following day. Over-all, wonderful stay!"
