"The hotel and the location was very pretty!!! The room was awesome with a very nice view. Staff was very polite and helpful. The only problem was breakfast. On booking it said that breakfast was included in the booking so we were expecting a free buffet breakfast but on arriving the staff informed that the breakfast is not included and that we’ll have to pay 16.99 per person. She said that people usually think breakfast is included but it’s not specially with the online booking its most definitely not. So that was a bummer other than that its a very good hotel"

"La réception nous a remis un mauvais numéro de chambre pour laquelle, comme de raison, la clé ne fonctionnait pas. Ma fille, qui porte le même nom de famille et qui occupait une chambre adjacente a offert de passer à la réception chercher la bonne clé pour moi. Le personnel a carrément refusé de lui remettre citant les règlements de l’hôtel ce qui est compréhensible sauf que ça ne s’est pas fait de façon courtoise malgré que c’était l’erreur de la réception de nous avoir assigné la mauvaise chambre. Pressés de respecter une réservation dans un restaurant du voisinage et à cause des travaux routiers dans le voisinage nous avons finalement passé à la réception en fin de soirée. La chambre était très bien et le déjeuner au restaurant le lendemain aussi mais, pour notre prochain séjour à Québec, ce sera ailleurs!"

"I thought I would try a more up-scale hotel than usual on this trip to Montreal, but on the whole I was disappointed. (1) check-in: I arrived at 5pm and I was told my room was ready, but I'd have to wait while it was "verified" -- that took 10-15 minutes, which was OK, but not my idea of luxury. (2) room: large, but a bit worn. The front legs were missing from the mini-fridge. One of the upholstered chairs smelled faintly of vomit when I sat in it. The bed was comfortable. (3) check-out: there was a line to check out at 6am. Unpleasant surprise: a $20-per-night "destination fee" was due on checkout, in addition to the advertised rate. I see it is disclosed in the fine print at the time of booking; however, since it is not optional (unlike parking, or a late checkout charge) I would expect it to be part of what expedia quotes as the total."
