"This was terrific value for money and would happily stay again. While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. All in all, very good."

Just returned from a few days here - great little hotel, only 300m from La Cite de Carcassone's medieval walls. Really easy to get to and from as it is on the main road east out of Carcassonne (but it is extremely quite). Rooms are good, superb air-con, very clean and spacious, with hairdryer and toiletries provided. Ours had a mini kitchenette with fridge, sink, hotplate and microwave. Lovely hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk into the old town but also on a street with plenty of amenities of its own. Free parking nearby in the Place Barbicane which was easy to find and close to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and local products. The hotel garden was beautiful, and a cute if very small roof terrace too from which you can get a view of the city walls.

Absolutely fantastic 2-day stay in the Royal Suite at Le Château de La Seigne. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Carcassonne, and Ubers had no trouble picking us up right at the gate quickly. The château itself is stunning and beautifully restored, packed with character and cool features like vintage restored cars in the entrance garage, a working old-school jukebox near the hall and a characterful staircase up to the upper rooms. We stayed at the Hotel Campanile which is a 25-30 minute walk into the city or castle, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and the breakfast provided was of a good european standard and free WiFi available.
