Basic but more than adequate for our needs. Tired decor and simple furniture. You get what you pay for and compared to nearby hotels very reasonably priced. Large apartment with plenty of storage. My husband and I stayed on an apartment with a balcony overlooking the gardens and car park but the view of the beautiful trees was perfect for us. We also found the apartment quite spacious with adequate facilities.

This is a basic aparthotel, it was clean but in news of refurbishment. Comfy beds and quiet, also close to medieval walls. Only get 1 towel for whole stay, 1 teabag and 1 toilet roll!!

Rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Shower wouldn’t be great for anyone with mobility issues. Shower wall did not appear very clean and water went on the floor. What a find! What the accomodation lacks in modernity, it more than makes up for in size of rooms, cleanliness, the MOST comfortable beds, facilities (including a pool and steam room) and self catering amenities. But what sets this place apart, is the most incredible breakfast - we have never had such choice and quality!!! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff also deserves a big mention. Would definitely look at returning!

This property though simple was an excellent value. Rooms were clean. Parking was plentiful. Included breakfast was very good. Easy walk to the fortress. The only downside was the laundry. With only one machine with a very small drum and many long-term residents, I would not count on the machine's availability. If you need to do laundry, there is a very good commercial one about a half-mile from the hotel.

Upgraded - thank you so much. Loved the room and nice view. Enjoyed the pool too. Everything was CLEAN! Busline 2 stop is in front of the hotel. 6-7mins walk to the fortress. Aldi, Lidl, McDo is nearby too.

Lovely hotel.

The property was in a great location and our room had 2 views 1 of the castle and the other had lovely views. The room was a little tired but very practical. Our room no. Was 237. We had a bus stop right outside so it was cheap to get around and go to the lake. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Swimming pool area a bit tired.

Great place near the old city. Room was huge, as was the bathroom. It’s not fancy but it was functional and clean. The pool was great for the kids. Didn’t use the kitchenette facilities as we were only there 1 night but they would’ve been handy for a longer stay.

Great location, comfortable if a little basic.

We had a two night stay to visit the mediaeval town and found the location of the Cerise Carcassonne Sud excellent for this purpose. The carpark is very large and secure with gates closing from 9 pm. The old town is a 5 minute walk away - very do-able even in the 35 C heat. Our rooms (in block A) were very large, disabled friendly, if a little utilitarian with sparse oldish, basic furniture (no bedside tables). Air conditioning worked well, the king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was stable and controllable. Our bathroom was a fully accessible wet room and very large. Perfect for older travellers. The wifi was a bit patchy, but we understand that this was a temporary issue. The breakfast (extra cost) was reasonable - better as a Continental rather than the cooked variety. Dining in room would be possible with basic facilities (microwave, fridge, hotplate) with cutlery, crockery and a few pans provided. The hotel is on the edge of town with a pattiserie and grocery stall about 15 minutes walk along a busy road. Overall, the Cerise Carcassonne Sud was well located and comfortable. Not an expensive, luxury hotel, but probably great for families and perfect for visiting the old city.

Our room was clean and warm, bedding spotless and toilet and bathroom were clean, didn't use much within the kitchen facilities, but it had eveything to self cater. Deco is a little dark and a little depressing, would look cheary with white walls, but it's acceptable. Nice swimming pool, very quiet, good sleeps! If you want peace and quiet, this would be suitable. Plenty parking and it is only 10 minutes to walk to the Medival City
