"Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk beds over the main double an ingenious use of space. Nice toiletries. Excellent location within the park, right next to the lions and tigers as well as the entrance footbridge from the car park making for easy loading/unloading of luggage and getting in and out of the resort (only downside to this is it is right on the road so while you are well separated and can’t see the road there is traffic noise). Quick stroll to the park Base Camp, and an easy downhill walk through the animal enclosures to our favourite eatery Baby Dolls for surprisingly excellent pizza - but especially with children you’ll probably want one of their smart Black Cabs to take you back up the steep hill and they can take a long time to come so plan ahead!"

"My son has a duck feather allergy. We asked at front reception if we can use some hypoallergenic hollow Fiber pillows to which their reply why house keeping is gone and we don’t know where they store them. My son ended up getting a full on body rash and couldn’t sleep all night. "

"The suite was perfect really large and it looked like it had just been refurbished. Breakfast however was disappointing. Tea and coffee poor and the hot stuff wasnt very nice, this was strange as the food in the restaurant the day before was ok"

"I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room had a very strong, unpleasant smell and the bedding felt stale and musty. I had to keep the window open all day and night just to make the room bearable, which was far from ideal on a cold and wet February weekend. Cleanliness was also a major issue. The walls were visibly dirty, the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, the mats appeared unwashed, and the floors were stained. On top of that, there was no proper hot water for showers — we only had lukewarm to cold water throughout our stay. The small kitchen area was also a shared space, which was not clearly communicated. There was no privacy, and we did not feel comfortable using it. Overall, the condition and facilities fell well below acceptable standards. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to hygiene, maintenance, and guest communication."

"Great treehouse with buggy. Up early to go around the park with the buggy. Loved the clubhouse bar, toasting marshmallows over the fire. We would return, loved the animals, grounds & restaurants too! "
