"We booked the wrong Anchorage Inn by mistake. After countless phone calls and trying to secure another reservation in Portsmouth, and no luck, we decided to stay. Tom was super personable and friendly. He made up for the lack of amenities. He greeted us when we arrived back at the hotel and asked about our evenings. He was helpful in selecting spots to dine and places to go. It was always a great conversation with Tom! By the time we left, we felt like he was our friend. For sure, the establishment needs bigger towels, more charging stations, cleaner floors, and more amenities, but our room was clean. The bed was comfortable the sheets were cleaned. Thank You Tom! "

"Nice hotel in downtown Portsmouth NH. Friendly staff. Easy access to Market Street, the tourist area for food and shopping. Not too far from harbor if interested. Offers breakfast for 15.50ea which is an upscale continental breakfast only. OK but nothing fancy."

"Great location. Very good condition. Shower control has flow control too. I hate hotels where you can't control the flow. We did tell the hotel. It would be nice if they had more towel racks or hooks in the bathroom to hang the bathtubs. Also, if you don't want to pay the valet service you can just drive your car yourself to the Foundry garage 3 blocks away. Breakfast was good. We did give feedback that we wish there were were real cutlery and ceramic plates instead of plastic, plastic and plastic and plastic. There is a lot to do in Portsmouth. There is dining and shopping. There are tour boats that go out to the isles of shoals and the beach is in Rye."
