Property is old and overdue for renovating. Climbing stairs that were starting to rot felt unsafe. Walls were thin and movement in the room next door could be heard.

Situated in a convenient location for the things we were doing in the area. Meals were great. Didn't like finding someone else's hair tie on our bathroom floor though.

This was a great room in a very handy location. Spacious and clean, modern bathroom and a nice view. The only negatives were the amenities. Restaurant and pub were closed. And the uninviting pool is a complete waste of space. A hole in the ground with water in it - no shade, no seating, no plants, nothing.

Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Fairly quiet when no one using pool. However, having no microwave is a slight disadvantage over equivalent properties and having to lug bags up or down stairs could be a problem for some people.

Friendly, helpful staff who are always accommodating. Grounds and rooms are clean amd well kept but the rooms could do with an upgrade. Location is perfect - central and close to the beach, tram amd shops plus there's a restaurant in the hotel which makes pretty good food

Pretty good value, clean and tidy rooms, well positioned close to the harbour with ocean views. The hotel room looks like it was styled in the 80's and maintains a lot of that integrity. Nearby breakfast cafe options which may be a notch above the hotel dine in offerings.. Dinner menu was ok, seafood marinara was 6/10, could have been much better especially in a town with a seafaring history. Would look at staying in Portland another time at this venue. Good value for a one or 2 night stay.

Helpful staff. The room was very clean and functional. Great shower. It had everything we needed. Ate at the restaurant - and both the food and the service was really good. Booked last minute Grand Final weekend. Everywhere else had jacked up their prices - but Richmond Henty had not, and the price was half that of some other places that did not look as nice. Planning to stay there again.

We stayed for only one night in Jan 2023. The room was spacious enough for a family of 3. Clean. Ocean view. Value for money. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We would stay again if we are in Portland.
