"Is a basic beachhut set up. Basic huts set a few mins walk back from beach. Cheap and good option. Rooms are basic and functional but low end as to be expected at this price. Lively bar, more of a independent traveller vibe than many Zanzibar resorts. Food in restaurant was quite fine."

Compared to the twisted palms, the food was overpriced and very small portions. We had a beachfront bungalow and it was nice being right up front to hear and see the ocean. Very nice pool also. "We stayed here for 7 nights and paid £1102 for this, which was not good value for money. The staff are all incredibly friendly and amenable. However, the bungalows are tired and run-down, the door handle was nearly coming off to our room, the taps are severely lime-scaled and wall switches with holes in them? We had to ask for hand soap, toilet roll and we had to keep asking for a towel. The towels and bedding were stained. There is no mattress protector. The breakfast was awful; stale cereal...

"Hotel was closed for renovations and they didn’t inform us before we arrived. We had to look for an alternative place to stay at night and Expedia was not helpful either with finding another hotel. I would never recommend this place because of the lack of communication and inconvenience caused! "
