After a 5-hour bus ride, my husband and I arrived at the hotel to discover the elevator was "closed" due to a private party on the roof so we had to carry our luggage up three, narrow flights of steps. This wasn't a big deal but highly unusual, especially because there was very little light in the hallways. Again, not a terrible inconvenience but also not a pleasant experience after a long day of travel. Our master suite room was really cool with a hot tub in the middle of the room and an L-shaped balcony. The TV didn't turn on (could've been user error) and we saw a roach on the second night (not unusual for a beach vacation but still unfortunate). The rooftop pool was fabulous but the breakfast in the restaurant downstairs left a lot to be desired. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider staying here again.

Pretty cool place to stay. It can get a little noisy outside some of the rooms because of all the construction happening (Sept 22) but this should change once the building is ready by 2023

Very accommodating and super friendly. Rooms were awesome. Great location, just a few blocks from the beach and right next to downtown. Perfect spot for a honeymoon or getaway!!

We booked a room with 2 beds but when we arrived the receptionist told us that they no longer have the room booked with the 2 beds. When I asked for a refund to go to another hotel, they then offered me the master suite with jacuzzi for one night. the room with 2 beds was going to be available the next day. If we wanted to stay in the master suite, they would charge us $20 more per night. When I got to the master suite, it is nicely decorated however it was very dirty and the smell was horrible. The next day they moved us to the junior room which was much better than the master suite. Bathroom door makes a big noise. The rooftop pool is nice but the water not clean. Filter is not running in the pool. For breakfast: I am a coffee lover! You are in for a big disappointment. Very watery coffee. The quality of the breakfast is minimal. And depending on the waiter, you can have good or bad service. No bread served and when asked they brought an untoasted bread. You're better off walking to the Maison Pierre cafe. Not a typical mx restaurant but a nice experience. The sushi at be playa was ok and the drinks we ordered were ok. Overall, I give it a 2.5 out of 5. Quality doesn't match with the price paid.

The staff was amazing and friendly here. Helped us find our way around, went above and beyond to helps us with transportation and was available to help 24/7 even with our very late check in. The room and it’s cleanliness was beyond our expectations. I must say we were very impressed. Will definitely come back to Be Playa.
