The hotel was good , great location , walkable for everything you need like shops, bars, restaurants, nightlife the beach just 10 mins. Walking . I highly recommended the patong bay residence.

Room was clean, staff were friendly, pool/pool area is really pretty (small but it's nice). It's a bit far from the main Patong beach area. Highlight was the breakfast, the breakfast was a buffet with so much variety, and it was flavorful. Overall, it is well worth the price.

Patong Bay Residence Stay

We arrivaed at midnight. When we got there it was a really smooth check in & the staff kindly saw us to our rooms & explained everything to us. Breakfast was really nice, lots to choose from including eggs to order. The poolside is very nice and great for the kids to have a splash. 24 hour reception which made us feel safe and the staff will go above & beyond. Anything you need just let them know & they'll be happy to help. Loved my stay here & an additional bonus was we got the 2 rooms for a really good price. Room service is daily with fresh towels. 5* from me. Defo recommend!!

What can I say, I loved the staff at the hotel, the rooms are very nice, a little smaller than expected but no issues at all with the space. Everyone makes you feel welcome and they are always smiling. The pool isn’t very accommodating for too many people though so don’t make that your only chance for sun - though nice, it’s a bit small and not enough lounges - especially when the families show up. The restaurant is wonderful too. Will stay here again for sure

The staff was beyond accommodating. I checked in with this lady with dark hair who from the start to end, made me feel like family. The hotel itself is in great condition for the property being on the older side. We were central to everything in Patong and getting rides was easy/quick. Would recommend!

Nice Hotel good facilities , location great fro the mosque could easily go to prayers daily , area is great lots of halaal food and shopping , didint enjoy the service and staff at hotel but the cleaning lady was the best she ws so friendly and amazing hats off to her , lady manager at breakfast is lady very very loud and noisy she tries to speak to guest which is great but she needs to be more suttle about if and not make a huge scene all the time. with so may arabs and muslims in the hotel hotel i would preffer the be more halaal considerate.

Patong Bay Residence is a budget-friendly find with super clean, modern rooms and zero noise, just be ready for a 25-minute trek to the beach and some spotty service. • Location & Access: Tucked away in a quieter part of Patong, you’ll get total peace no late-night street noise or mosque calls. Just know that Patong Beach and Bangla Road are about a 25-minute walk away (or a quick tuk-tuk ride). • Rooms & Cleanliness: The rooms are spacious, fully renovated, and spotless. Everything feels brand-new, from the sleek bathroom tiles to the comfy bed linens. • Service & Staff: It’s self-service here—there’s no porter to carry your bags, and small requests (like borrowing an adapter) can take a lot of prodding. If you don’t mind doing a little extra yourself, you’ll be fine. • Breakfast & Value: Breakfast is simple but decent, and given the low nightly rate, this place offers terrific bang for your buck.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately, I’m glad it wasn’t longer. The room was not very clean — the bathroom had stains on the tiles and discolored grout on both the walls and floor. The balcony door also did not lock, which was concerning. While nothing happened, it would have been reassuring to know the room was secure. The staff were friendly but not very responsive. We called the front desk for assistance and were told someone would come within 10–15 minutes, but no one ever showed up. Another issue was the noise. There’s a mosque located just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. While I completely respect religious practices, the call to prayer was extremely loud and could be clearly heard from inside the room, even with the windows and doors closed. There was about 4 calls I heard that day at various times. The early morning call was before 5 a.m. and was particularly disruptive to sleep. Additionally, there is only one small elevator, so expect longer wait times if the hotel is busy. Overall, the staff were pleasant, but the cleanliness, maintenance issues, and noise made for a disappointing stay. I would not choose to stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel.
