The hotel is clean, modern and only a few blocks from the beach in the midst of the Pattaya nightlife. They provide water, and free snacks as well. The breakfast is nice with a mix of western and Thai foods that are nicely done. This hotel is in the center of all you could ask for if you are a single guys looking to enjoy all the nightlife Pattaya is infamous for. Since I was traveling with my wife, this was a negative but for single men this would be a big plus. The hotel was also well sound insulated which, given the nightlife running wild until late about 4am is important too. The staff speaks good English and is also accommodating. I would rank this similar to a North American Sheraton 4 Points.

Blackwoods is a very nice hotel right in the middle of the action. 5 minutes to the beach and all of the fun and excitement of soi 7 right on your doorstep. It's not the cheapest hotel in Pattaya, but you can't beat the location. Rooms are very spacious, clean, the bed was comfortable. The pool area is good. I was very pleasantly surprised

The staff were really polite and courteous. Made their best effort to accommodate my needs. The location is in a busy area of Pattaya with lots of bars along Soi7, so it is quite noisy up until around 3 am. It is steps from the beach which makes it ideal to laze around during the day. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Promised so much, delivered so little!
Poor customer service, breakfast is ok, but not a huge amount of choice and staff not prepared to do anything remotely different (like poached eggs for example). I had arguments with staff and they were quite happy to shout at me. Facilities aren’t great. Bed a little uncomfortable. Toilets are odd too. If you park your car in the car park, don’t bother trying to use the lift after 9pm, as they cut off access to the car park. I had to carry my heavy case up the stairs. Someone came to help once I was in reception - I’d done the hard bit by then!!
