Hotel on the Beach
The hotel is not a 5-star hotel but good to stay if you want to be near the Bangla Walking Street and the beach. The rooms were clean enough but some areas, such as the bathroom, could use a make over. There were some dings in the tile and in the tub basin.
It is right on the beach so it provides a convenience for you to go from beach to room. The pool is centrally located in the hotel, near the bar and lounge.
The negatives were: 1) The rooms requested (deluxe balcony) did not live up to expectations and online pictures. There should be a disclaimer that 3-4 rooms (our party had 2 of the rooms) had almost zero visibility to the pool area, which is the direction the balcony faced and should overlook. 2) There is a per person charge per night for additional persons beyond your reservation (we had a coz join last minute). I didn't, and don't, agree with this charge. Hotels should charge per room not per person. This charge is almost equivalent to the cost of a night's stay so you may be better off booking another room than number getting a rollaway bed. Or, just don't add the additional person.
Overall, I would recommend a stay here...the stay was not bad but for the two negatives.
