We had the delux beachfront villa. The villa was amazing !!! Such a cool relaxed vibe. Beautiful artwork. Such an amazing space. The restaurants food was great and reasonably priced. Just wish we had longer there. The private pool was fantastic.

Excellent hotel but only had a one night stop over. Had everything we needed

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay here, the staff were without exception friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant, food was lovely, however I thought a little pricey. Breakfast was excellent and included. Trip to airport is approx $40 dollars but feel it was worth staying a bit further away from airport to be in such lovely surroundings. Highly recommended.

Pleasantly surprised given the negative reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great reception and concierge, very helpful. Despite what some people say the restaurant served high quality food for both breakfast and dinner. The service was quick and attentive without being too on your face. Every member of staff we met were friendly. Our room no 2 was well positioned for the pool, bar and restaurant. The icing on the cake are the views which are spectacular. Ideal for us; worked well as a base for exploring the Pacific side of Costa Rica with tours organised by Club del Mar. Room has all the facilities needed, all staff did everything to help us get everything out of the time we had in Costa Rica. We also loved the easy access to the beach, as well as the good food and drinks available.

Amazing location on the edge of jungle and just 15 min walk to main street. Free bicycle if required. Beautifully kept garden. Great breakfast of local cuisine. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

I had an excellent stay at the Canal Grande Lodge. The staff were wonderful, really friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless with large spacious rooms. It also had a lovely outdoor space with a pool and amazing views. A good option for those who are looking to stay close to San Jose airport but away from the busy streets of San Jose.

Clean room, helpful staff. Room a biyt outdated but nice and spacious with everything you need. Pool was excellent as were the grounds. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Nothing fancy but very tasty and well cooked, good value for money. 25 mins from airport (12km), easy drive just a little traffic to consider
