We stayed at both Aloft and Fairfield near SJO, and Aloft was our favorite. The room was much larger, with a great shower, strong water pressure, and a better breakfast selection. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport (vs. 5 for Fairfield), but you can walk to plenty of restaurants and supermarkets ...
