The area was hit by the tail end of a Typhoon whilst we were there, there was a lot of damge to buildings and trees uprooted. Within 24 hours most businesses were back up and running. A credit the the people living and working here.






Everything was excellent but something worth considering is the practice of guests who put towels and a book on the sun beds before breakfast to hold a space by the pool or by the seaside. The rooms were well appointed with everything you needed. Loved having the wardrobe in the bathroom area. We used the balcony in the morning and after sunset when it was cooler. Our second visit to the Bayou hotel was just as good as the first. The staff were incredibly welcoming and again we were given vouchers for free welcome drinks. This time our room was larger and just as clean and well equipped. There is a basket of snacks and treats in each room, all free.

Good place to visit
We definitely go to Lamgkawi again. There are a lot we did not see.
Langkawi was an excellent place to stay and we’d loved Lepak Bistro for evening drinks
