"We came to Miami for an overnight to see Lady Gaga Mayhem Ball. We arrived during a blinding rainstorm to find the lobby of the hotel SRO. They have a strict 11am check-out and 4pm check-in policy. As the rain stopped some folks headed out. We and 7 other parties hoping for early check-in remained in the lobby. Two were families with young children and the rest—like me—were elderly. We sat all day. At 3:30pm some airline stewards came in and were given rooms. At that point—several of us stormed the front desk with one man screaming at the manager—a stone faced young woman. We were able to check-in—shower and have our dinner before the show. The room itself was fine—it was small but comfortable for our needs. Surely they could have prepared seven rooms for those of us sitting in the lobby. We did not feel welcome as a result. "

"Great scenic location in port area on the river. Shuttle service offered to cruise port for small fee.There was a nice breakfast with many choices hot and cold. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Walking distance to mall area for shopping / eating. My only issue was the extremely loud party boats on the river at all hours (spring break) which is not the hotels fault. "

"The staff at the Beacon was less than helpful. If you only speak English you will be in trouble. The water in room broke and would not turn off. We notified the front desk about the problem but nobody ever came to fix the it. They valet parked our car and the next morning and when we called for the vehicle it took over 45 minutes to receive it and it was only brought back more than a block away. That caused us to miss our flight home and we had to stay another night. Trust me that we did not stay there. Bottom line is that I would be careful about booking here and the only reason I would is that it is right across the street from the beach. "

"It's 1 block away from the beach and all the fun bars/resturants. You have to pay for valet parking but it's worth it because parking is hard to come by there. The staff was amazing and super helpful! I would definitely stay here again."

"The room is extremely small but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Downstairs has a lot of work stations."

"Great location. Lots of dining and shops within walkable distance. The room was clean but with a 3 night stay I did not receive maid service one time. The refrigerator did not stay on for more than 4 hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. "
