"The staff was so friendly. There were lots of animals: peacocks, cats, frogs, geese. We loved it! We booked it to be closer to Volcanoes National Park, without realizing there was no road that cuts across. We had to go amidst to Hilo in order to go back down to the Volcanoes, so it wasn't the most convenient, but we loved the vibe!"

"This is the real Hawaii! The property is located in a relatively remote area about 30 minutes south of Pahoa. Beautiful setting in the middle of a forest not too far from the beach. Isaac Hale Park is within walking distance and although the beach isn’t very safe for swimming there is a pond there that you can swim in. "Centrally located across of Hilo Bay and less than 10 minutes from the airport so that was convenient. The property is older yet you can see the many upgrades and updates they have done however, there are a lot of stairs to climb with no elevator options. Hallways are also narrow and you can feel the floors are not leveled evenly. Overall the customer service was beyond excellent and you can feel the Aloha spirit of the staff! "
