went out to stresa for my birthday as had never been for a short break. easily reached by alibus or train to stresa itself. great location, so beautiful loads to see and do. boats so easily available to taxi you about to other resorts on lake but so glad to of stayed in stresa. with the lake and views as far as you can see and the alps in distance lit up by the sun when it was out there nothing to do buy chill out, explore and soak up the scenery with lots of food and drink. hotel is 5 mins...

A superb hotel which must be praised for the friendly attention and professional assistant of all the international team.

Loved our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel! The shuttle service from the train station was so helpful when we arrived (messaged beforehand). We also loved the breakfast and sauna.

A really lovely charming family run hotel with great facilities, an amazing breakfast buffet and well-located within the town. I would definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Excellent

This is a really lovely hotel. I will definitely be coming back if I am in the region. The staff were great and the restaurant was fantastic. Definitely worth a stay.

Great hotel. Great room. Great service. Great breakfast. Great indoor pool.

Fabulous location and a wonderful place for a wedding!

Stayed in a family room with an awesome view of matterhorn from the balcony. Room was big by swiss standards and the bathroom was also nice with natural light from rooftop. Breakfast is also very good. The spa and swimming pool facility is also superb. Staff was helpful and infact also got my broken bag handle repaired thus saving me the headache of going to town to find a repair shop. Will definitely stay here next time.

Used the hotel as a base for a Dufourspitze summit and it was ideal - opposite the Zermatt rail, there's a supermarket next door and parking.

I can’t say enough good about this place in fact I liked it so much I extended my trip and came back :) everything is perfect but the best this is the hoteliers Francesca and Markus. Wonderful people who really made my trip with their kind attention and information. Locally there is so much to do, just walking and seeing waterfalls and mountains is delightful and I also went para gliding, and in Zermatt there is year round skiing and shopping. I made good use of the quiet and efficiently run...

A short walk from the station, very welcoming staff and a great breakfast.

Excellent stay from start to finish. Spacious, clean and comfortable room with excellent breakfast provided. All staff really helpful and can't fault our stay. Thank you!

We really enjoined our stay at this property. The personnel is very nice, rooms very clean and conformable and breakfast is great. Just 7 minutes walk to Matterhorn-Express, the hotel is very central but quiet at the same time.

Central location near the train terminal; very good swimming and spa facilities; breakfast spread is generous; very helpful staff

Everything worked well from the ease of checking in to the upgraded room overlooking the lake to the excellent, responsive staff. The visit was a delight from start to finish. Of particular note were the arrangements for breakfast and the extreme helpfulness and resourcefulness of the members of the concierge team. Can't speak highly enough of them.

Excellent value for money. You will love Hotel Alex. Great service. Amazing Spa, Tasty breakfast.

Friendly helpful staff, clean and tidy. Central location.

The view is very fine.
