This place is absolute gem . Location seems remote but it’s easy walk to restaurants and beach plus Kingo will supply free bikes and golf buggy . The staff cannot do enough for you and included a free shuttle to our next hotel .

This resort has the barefoot elegance feel. It blends nicely into it's surroundings. It is situated on a quieter beach away from the main beach. But that's only a 15 min taxi ride away and easily accessible. Close by are a couple of nice restaurants and resorts so it's not too isolated. The hotel keep the grounds immaculate and the rooms are really comfortable. The restaurant is in a lovely setting, breakfasts are good, but the menu is a bit boring for lunch and dinner.

The Golden Topaz way surpassed expectations! Tom the manager was amazing! The property is exactly as the photos look, just opposite is a great restaurant, then there are 4 others down the road towards the beach. The pool is great, breakfasts are fantastic! I would definitely return!

Beautiful setting for the hotel, right on the beach. Our room had a magnificent sea view, the perfect spot for catching a sunset. The only thing I would point out is that the "bungalow" is actually either an upstairs or downstairs apartment, and the steps to the upstairs are very steep and potentially slippy in the rain. Due to an issue with a damage passport, we were meant to be travelling to Indonesia, but unfortunately immigration would not let us leave Vietnam. Beautiful resort and wonderful, friendly staff. Room - Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and over looked the water. The laundry detergent used on the linen smells amazing!! Room is cleaned everyday and bottled water is provided as well. There is a tv in the room with many Vietnamese channels, but also some English ones. Lovely Hotel, in a quiet position. Facilities are great, views are amazing, staff are brilliant, food is good. Would not recommend for young children, as pool is quite deep, and sea on private beach is a bit stony. On the beach walk right, and you have a 5 mile sandy beach virtually to yourself...brilliant. Outside resort turn left and 100 yards is a brilliant restaurant for food. Would I recommend Hotel and go back....YES

Great destination with very friendly helpful staff. I had a beach hut with private pool and sea view, superb! Breakfast variety was good and the sea view restaurant very good.

Excellent Stay

We had a great time during our stay at Vela. The staff were very attentive and tried to make our time there feel really special. We loved the location as it was in a quieter part of Phu Quoc with other nice resorts close by that you can use (Mango Bay has a lovely beach and bar area). The pool area at Vela was fantastic too!

Our 3rd visit to this property, and we will hopefully return again. Beautiful gardens, friendly, helpful staff. Simple breakfast with varied options throughout the week in addition to the usual daily eggs/pancakes/fruit/pho. Value for money for the local area. Numerous good restaurants with in close walking distance and only a 5 minute walk to the beach - although relaxing pool area onsite too!
