"Very peaceful location in pretty village with thatched cottages and near the river for riverside walks. Good security and entry instructions emailed by host pre-arrival. Room was beautifully decorated and all very clean. Lovely shower. Great breakfast delivered to the room - choice of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, jam/marmalade, orange juice. (Perhaps a breakfast checklist could be an idea?) Good supply of tea & coffee bags provided in the room. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and listening to the birds (even heard the cuckoo!) and would definitely return on a future visit. "

"The buffet breakfast looked appealing at first, but unfortunately, most of the food was either cold or only lukewarm. The menu was the same each day, which quickly became repetitive. The pancakes and waffles were especially disappointing—cold and hard, which is not what you would expect. Additionally, serving syrup and toppings from open containers felt awkward and less than ideal. The rooms themselves were clean, which I appreciated, but there were several inconveniences. I had to request a mini fridge, and even then, it did not get very cold. There was no air conditioning, so I had to rely on opening the window for cooler air. Washcloths were also not provided initially and had to be requested. The gym appeared well-equipped, but it was closed for several days during my stay, which was frustrating. Dining was also underwhelming—the steak was thin and not worth the price, and honestly should be reconsidered for the menu. The pizza lacked flavor, and even small details like drinks at the bar fell short, with minimal ice and overall not meeting typical standards. Overall, while the property has potential and maintains cleanliness, there are several service and quality issues that need improvement to meet expectations."

"Alex was a great Host and made sure we settled in with ease, help,a smile and all info needed. Nothing too much,rooms spotless,parking easy and was a great central quiet place to visit all reserves and places we wanted too."

"The room was noisy due to kitchen extract fan which also vibrated the floor The fan runs from 0600 to 2200 per day so no let up in the noise and very rude awakening in the morning"

"A very lovely place for an overnight stay, basic but has all the facilities for a B&B standard. Pub is pretty , traditional inside, twinkle lights. Lovely pie for lunch reasonable prices. Staff we ok, not over friendly neither rude so ok . Our bedroom was cold, duvet not that thick so I was shivering. The owner or manager said the next day that they previous people must have turned the heating off, but surely the cleaner should check this before next people arrive. That all said, I would stay again and for £49.50 total for the night, you can't complain ! I would just check the heater next time 😃"
