"Heat barely worked, left it on 85 just to keep from freezing. bathroom had water seaping out from the wall. Beds felt like they were ready to collapse. Cigarette burn holes in the bedspreads. "

"We didn’t check in until about 11pm. Front staff was wonderful! Room was clean (I always check the bed really well too) but there was a bad odor in the room. Carpet maybe? It seemed to get worse the longer we were there. We got up and left early the next morning so it wasn’t anything we couldn’t stand. "

"Hair in the shower and on the floor of the bathroom. Pigeons perched and living on the window sill. So there was poop and feathers everywhere. People beside us were loud all night and smoking marijuana. Bad experience all around. "

"We have stayed at this hotel several times a year, every time we attend an event at the Harvester. Over the years, the condition of the property continues to decline. The side entrance door does not close securely making it easy for non guests to enter. The bathroom shower curtain had dark black hairs all over it. The shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers have been removed. The ceiling in the bathroom has mold on it. Very disappointing as this has been our go to hotel wherever we are in Rocky Mount for a night of music. We will be looking for a different place to stay next month. "

"This place is run down and very low end. It’s cheap for a reason, but in this case it isn’t even worth the $60 a night. I’d rather be camping outside. Our room smelled like a wet dog, the shower barely worked, the cold water side of the sink faucet didn’t work, the wall mounted heater was really loud. The sheets looked clean, so there’s that. You weren’t expecting this to be the Bellagio, but it’s barely a functional motel. "

"I usually stay here for personal or business trips by myself and book the single bed unit. On a prior visit, a neighbor had to switch from one single bed unit to another for a problem. On this visit, no single bed unit was available due to a problem. I was given the two bed unit, which is more expensive; however I did not enjoy it as much as my prior visits with a single bed unit. The rooms are too small for the two bed units; so my stay was a little less comfortable than expected. Overall, however, I still consider it a top motel and excellent place to stay in this area. Next time, I was promised my single bed unit would be good to go. :)"
