"There was a STRONG human urine smell. Bugs and dirty small beds. I was charged 50.00 extra for early check in, but we did not stay in the room at all. We went in looked around and left. The woman at the desk on 03/09/26 9am was a scam artist. She claimed we had 5 total beds and there were 4 twin beds. She demanded we pay 50.00 for ealry checkin. No reciept for the 50.00 was given. Then she argued my reservation was 1 room. After she charged me 2 check in fees. We spent 20 mins in the hotel arguing about online reservation made through expedia. To end up with 0 place to stay at the last moment of our trip. Do not book at studio 6 mcallen. You will be scammed there will be bugs in your room. "

"Hotel was very unhelpful when needing to change or get refund for the stay. Hotel never responded to email or phone calls. Very unprofessional staff. "

"Air conditioning worked well. We did not wish to shop so this was not a consideration. Bar and restaurant on the property was a plus. Breakfast was good. Hotel was great value and would stay here again."

"This was our first time staying here, and overall the experience was a bit uncomfortable. The room layout felt unusual because our room was downstairs but the stairs inside led up to the actual room, which felt a little strange to us. There were also a few maintenance issues. The doorknob on the restroom door was broken off, and the closets had no lighting, which made it difficult to see our belongings. For a two-day stay, only two towels were provided, which was not very convenient. Another disappointment was the breakfast. It did not match what was described on the hotel’s website, so our expectations were a bit higher than what was offered. One positive thing I will say is the location. The hotel is surrounded by many stores and good restaurants, which made it easy to find places to eat and shop nearby. Overall, with better maintenance and more accurate descriptions of amenities, the stay could be much more enjoyable."
