"Our family room was in a building separate to the pub - 2 minute walk, with a great view. The room was really large, stylishly decorated with loads of great unexpected extras - kids toys, colouring sets & cards and a pay for mini bar with drinks & snacks. As we brought our dog they provided a dog bowl, dog bed and snack pack! We thought it was fabulous value for money, especially the breakfast. Our only feedback was the pillows were pretty hard. We would definitely look at Youngs for our next accommodation."

"Fantastic location and a lovely flat. The skylights make it feel really light and airy, with fantastic sea views. It was exactly what we needed for our mini break in Devon. We also had a meal at their restaurant downstairs, the Flame Factory, which was wonderful. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!"

"We found the stay very enjoyable. The hotel was in an excellent location for the local amenities and the beach. Parking was never a problem. There were plenty of places to eat and drink, both inside and al fresco. We particularly enjoyed the Thatchers cider. Everywhere was very clean and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We would be very happy to recommend your hotel to anyone we know going to Westward Ho, and would like to return one day."

Apple Tree Cottage

"We chose this cottage due to its location in Appledore and that it's dog friendly. We stayed in Apple Tree cottage. It was a lovely surprise to see what lay behind the No 5 door. The cottage was clean and cosy. Tastefully decorated. It was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi. TV with Net Flix etc.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. It is close to all the amenities Appledore has to offer. It is an ideal base to discover North Devon, which is beautiful. The garden space is shared with the other cottages. Each cottage has access to garden furniture and space. The garden is dog safe. Our bedroom overlooked the beer garden to The Royal Pub. We weren't disturbed by noise. There is no private parking. We parked on the Quay without issue or charges. It potentially could be an issue during busy holidays.There are chargeable parking areas in the village. You are provided with clear instructions and recommendations by the host."
