"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "

"Hotel is fine although not as nice as I expected for the money. Parking can be a challenge. Location is really great for the city centre and the spa area is very nice, but gets busy. "We arrived 2 hours early but were told our room was ready! On asking if there was a room we could upgrade to, we were given a Suite. Wow! it was fabulous and really changed our whole experience. The extra private sitting room was such a bonus and we made the most of it. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful and when we had drinks in the bar/lounge the barman was friendly and really efficient. We only booked one breakfast on the day we were checking out and, again, breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful with good choices whatever your requirements are. We've stayed here before and would definitely stay again."
