The hotel is located in a village not too far from the Ponte de lima town. Its a really quiet and quaint place but a beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff are absolutely lovely and are ready to assist where possible. Especially George who was very helpful and assisted and guided us to get to around to places we wanted to visit. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the surrounding were rural and very nice.

Such a beautifully appointed accomodation, the views were exceptional. Communication was excellent and we were able to check in 1 hour early. The house itself is stunning and very clean, it smelled amazing as soon as you walked in the door. Breakfast was excellent, all very fresh and a lovely setting. We had food prepared in the evening and the quality was exceptional. The wine pairing, olive oil, pastel del nata and the port on arrival were also excellent. We also joined Antonio on the...

Our 3 nights stay here was incredible. The owner is open and friendly, warm and welcoming. The room is immaculate, with attention to detail and a complimentary bottle of Vinho Verde. The pool is well situated, clean and warm in the evening. The breakfast is a fantastic spread of traditional and contemporary foods (their daily cake is to die for!). We look forward to staying with you again in the near future!

Quinta Bouca is an amazing place to stay. We really didn’t want to leave. It is so peaceful and relaxing. There are many places to visit nearby. We will be back next year. All of the team are wonderful and looked after us. Breakfast was a real treat. Thank you.

A truly delightful experience that far exceeded my expectations, from the service and the people to the quality of the hotel. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, and definitely somewhere I will come back to for a longer stay.

Amazing jewel of a property. Peaceful and calm. Friendly and caring owners. Attention to detail and cleanliness outstanding. Highly recommended

This hotel is excellent quality for the price it is unmatched. We stayed at the apartments which were quite big and had 2 separate rooms and 2 toilets. Breakfast buffet was nice as well

These are really good beachside apartments. Very professionally managed, huge rooms and very well equipped for a short or longer stay. The local beach is lovely and there is lots of things to do in the area.

The hotel has a spectacular position overlooking the river and historical centre of Porto. Service was excellent and not overbearing. Breakfast and dining generally were high quality. The outside pool area is lovely. You can walk down to the river direct from the hotel, where there are a lot of bars and restaurants - it is however quite a steep path, so perhaps not suitable for all. Thoroughly recommended.

The staff were better than excellent, they were superb

A lovely hostel, felt more like a small hotel and very well located near town centre, restaurants and local bars. Highly recommend

Hotel 1872 is a wonderful place. The staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and bright. The breakfast is very good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great staff, beautiful hotel with a stunning view. Only cons is the restaurant, the food is ok without being exceptional however it is largely overpriced compared to other restaurants in the surroundings.

No issue with parking and in a great location

Beautiful former palace, we arrived early (11.00) expecting to just leave our luggage but the reception staff checked and our room was ready. We were treat to a glass of port in the lounge (hall of mirrors) and then shown to our room with explanations of where all the facilities were located and how things worked in the room. Our guide left straight away no waiting around with hand out for a tip. The hotel is located about a 2 mile walk along the river from the centre but runs a shuttle bus at...
