A great choice of hotel. Beautifully presented and in a wonderful spot on the bank of the Nile. Very peaceful and easy to get into town. Professional and friendly staff who seem to genuinely like their jobs, which reflects in a better quality of service. good wifi. Excellent/diverse choice at breakfast buffet. Restaurant and bar pricey though. Yet this is surely the best place to stay in Luxor. We will return.

We have just returned home after a fabulous stay at the Steigenberger Nile Palace and I cannot praise this hotel highly enough. It has recently undergone a renovation which has given the Steigenberger a real 5* rating. The rooms are great and the staff make any stay a fantastic experience. Too many names to mention them all but special thanks to Ahmed, Ashraf, Osama, Aly, Hasan and last but not least Amina, who has made sure that next years trip will be better than ever. This is a family owned hotel on the west bank of the Nile. Just FYI - the Valley of Kings and Valley of Queens, as well as some other temples and tombs you'll want to see, are on the west bank. What an amazing hotel! We had one of the best weeks we have ever had at The Jolie Ville. I was a little apprehensive before we arrived after reading other reviews but I needn't have been. We would love to include names of staff members for extra praise - but it would be unfair because each and all of them are wonderful and would do everything to make their guests feel like royalty - and at the same time like friends. A haven from downtown if you like a simpler life as well. Since we were last there the menu choices are less Egyptian which was sad as the Egypt food was really good. The best type of Egyptian hotel which caters for independent tourists (although I fear they may now cater for large groups as well- none when we were there). Chalet rooms spotless. Good lighting.
