We have just returned home after a fabulous stay at the Steigenberger Nile Palace and I cannot praise this hotel highly enough. It has recently undergone a renovation which has given the Steigenberger a real 5* rating. The rooms are great and the staff make any stay a fantastic experience. Too many names to mention them all but special thanks to Ahmed, Ashraf, Osama, Aly, Hasan and last but not least Amina, who has made sure that next years trip will be better than ever. The location felt out of the way initially, but actually was very easy to manage. And it was lovely quiet and nice have the rural feeling. The hotel was very good value for the money. The room was simple but big and clean. The hotel pool and restaurant was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice and relaxing stay.

We would love to include names of staff members for extra praise - but it would be unfair because each and all of them are wonderful and would do everything to make their guests feel like royalty - and at the same time like friends. Tourism in magic, beautiful Luxor has fallen on hard times and this idyllic resort by the Nile is much too empty but everything from the blooming oriental garden to the two swimming pools (one with Nile view) and the terrace with its thousand and one night atmosphere...

What an amazing hotel! We had one of the best weeks we have ever had at The Jolie Ville. I was a little apprehensive before we arrived after reading other reviews but I needn't have been. The hotel was amazing. We had a beautiful room that was in a central location for all of the facilities. The staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A great choice of hotel. Beautifully presented and in a wonderful spot on the bank of the Nile. Very peaceful and easy to get into town. Professional and friendly staff who seem to genuinely like their jobs, which reflects in a better quality of service. good wifi. Excellent/diverse choice at breakfast buffet. Restaurant and bar pricey though. Yet this is surely the best place to stay in Luxor. We will return.

We had a great stay, and the place offered an authentic experience on the banks of the Nile. We truly appreciate Mohammad for taking such good care of our breakfast needs and for arranging everything seamlessly.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The setting was like an oriental palace in a dream-like mirage but very real, with stunning rooms, glorious food and the most wonderful staff, not to mention the farm with the animals and the workshops. Not just a hotel but a destination, an oasis!

This hotel was brilliant, fulfilling our requirements. The pool was amazing set by the Nile and the staff were really friendly both around the amenities and in the hotel itself. The downside was the rooms are a little tried and a refresher should bring it up to western levels. It is also a little further out of Luxor, making it challenging to escape the offers of taxis and horse carts, when walking into the centre.

This is a family owned hotel on the west bank of the Nile. Just FYI - the Valley of Kings and Valley of Queens, as well as some other temples and tombs you'll want to see, are on the west bank. But most people live on the east bank, and you'll want to visit that side to see Karnak and Luxor temples. So first decide which side you want to stay on. I felt really looked after, my room was lovely and the food was really excellent and fresh. Hamdy the waiter could not have been more attentive. I loved the herbs straight from the garden on your food, ie rocket, and the felafel was the equal best I have ever had in Egypt (I am a bit of a connniseur of felafel). The roof is amazing and the views are incredible.

Great place to explore Luxor, Karnak and the valley of the kings. The staff is friendly and helpful. Directly opposite Luxor temple, so location is unbeatable. Nice roof terrace to drink a couple of beers with amazing views of Luxor temple and the Nile.

Place is nice and the staff amazing they helped me a lot, just if you don’t speak the language difficult to move if is not by taxi they will try to charge you crazy prices. But if you take a tour or you have a bike is handy as is close to the colossi and valley of queens

Room was clean and very well organised for you will need and make sure you read the description which was very thoughtful and helpful. Staff was excellent, breakfast was great and delicious, room decor really well put. Wi-Fi didn't work for us ,but that wasn't a problem,and because it's west side taxi/uber/indrive all will negotiate price higher. After the craziness of Cairo it was wonderful to be able to relax in this beautifully calm environment. A short walk from the ferry crossing, up a little lane, mosque and shops on the corner, kids playing. It's about as authentic Luxor as you will get. The British expat community use the hotel for some of their activities. The hotel is built for hot weather; I was there in winter but still it was very comfortable - use the extra blankets.
