The attached property housed the homeowners who were friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. Parking was off the road next to the property. Set in a quiet section of forgotten Devon in the expansive countryside, along with similar styled properties, this cottage offers an outstanding holiday home. Fully renovated with contemporary decoration, with no low ceilings or beams, it still retains its original charm. The bed was comfortable and a goodnight's sleep was easily achieved. Think, more like at home, than in a holiday rental. Definitely a quiet retreat than a party house.

Hidden gem
Welcoming hosts to a lovely cottage. It was home from home in a beautiful setting and access to gardens and patio. Clean, comfotable, well equiped with little extras such as books, games equipment even pegs! Loved it.

A beautiful and comfortable cottage in an idyllic remote location. Car essential! Owners as hosts were very welcoming and provided many home comforts.

Beautiful cottage on stunning location
Beautiful cottage very well equipped. Was made welcome by Louise the owner. Very peaceful location. Nice patio area in sunny position. My only minor comment would be nice to have some comfortable garden furniture. The benches got a little uncomfortable after a while. Would definitely stay again and also recommend to family and friends.

Outstanding!
Stayed with our 3 children for 4 nights over half term and a great time was had by all! Just the right size (even with 2 teenagers!) and ideally positioned for nearby places for all interests. Louise & Martin are excellent hosts and apart from making us feel welcome they went extraordinarily out of their way to make up for a very tiny mishap when the dishwasher failed – we could have lived without it but they absolutely insisted and proceeded to move heaven and earth to get a replacement on a bank holiday when no shops were offering one at such short notice – well beyond the call of duty, thank you very much! And thanks for also accommodating our trailer with bikes! Oh and for nursing our 6 year old when she got a tick from the forest - where else would include free medical assistance?! Can't recommend enough - look no further, really!

Perfect family getaway!
A stunning cottage in the countryside perfect for couples or families. With everything you could possibly need provided along with an endless supply of firewood for the log burner, spacious rooms and comfy beds it really is the perfect little getaway! We are a family of four with 9 and 12 year old daughters and they loved it as much as we did. We cannot wait to go back and are already looking to book our next stay at Amberley Cottage.
