The place is fine to stay in, and the staff are fantastic. I did feel unsafe at night walking home from a harbour cruise - lot's of noise, loud cars cruising around, etc. But to be fair I had no trouble.

Staff were lovely. Value was good. Beds comfy but the bathroom had hair in the bath and in the floor, even after we asked the hair be cleaned up it was only partially cleaned up.

I thought being a Mercure it would be a much nicer room and pool looks great in pics but different in reality.
Conveniently located. Clean room and linen. Friendly staff.

The Mecure has a reputation of being an above average accommodation, well it was not, stained carpets along the hall ways, shower was inside the bath which the sealant was yellow and cracked, just a below average room, wont be back

Originally booked 1 night through Wotif. Tried to book an extra night through the hotel but the staff was very unhelpful. Then tried to book the extra night through Wotif but the only way to do it was to cancel the original booking and rebook. The hotel would not waiver the cancellation fee even thou I was rebooking on the spot for 2 nights not 1. Booked my extra night in another hotel so they lost out. Also states on Wotif that parking is available. When I arrived I was told no parking available as the car park was full. Only option was to park on the street which there was no parking or across the main road and up a side street.
The room was noisy due to the traffic. The buffet breakfast was less than ideal. And the staff on the front desk were rude. Will definitely not be wasting my money to stay there again.

The room was noisy. The bathroom old and not well maintained. When draining the bath the bath water came out floor waste and soaked the carpet. The staff were helpful but not a good experience

The Mercure was the perfect choice for my stay. I attended the Australian Deaf Games held at NEX. It was walkable and the staff were very accommodating. Great coffee in the morning too. Parking was no problem.

Run down hotel in desperate need of an upgrade. Beware as it is next to a nightclub and a main road and we were kept up all night with loud music and cars revving their engines. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

When we went to our room they had the wrong room type, we booked a king and they gave us a King. They did change it, but the room was below average. We ordered room service bacon and eggs rolls with nothing but BBQ sauce, no cheese etc. I had to repeat my order at least 5 times for the young lady to understand. Then they turned up with cheese!!
We sent them back and cancelled the order. At checkout the young lady tried to blame me for the stuff up with breakfast and said none of the staff wanted to be there because it was New Years Day. Well I never complain or write reviews, but this is the worst explanation or thing I have ever heard. Then she charged me $16 for parking and we were not even parked in the secure car park. She refused to remove the parking fee and said I should be thankful anyone even turned up for work.

Not guaranteed a parking spot on sight. Stayed on 40° day rooms air con wasnt on upon arrival room was very stuffy and hot had to turn it on and leave. Shower bath didnt drain well when having a shower, water started to fill the bath tub, bathroom wasnt to standard hair in bath etc.

The pool has no water in it. Pool is advertised on the website. So that was a disappointment for my 7 yr old

The staff are amazing, friendly check in/out. Clean room with comphy bed and easy availability of parking. It was good a situation that occurred in an alternate room was handled promptly and professionally for all.
