When I checked in, they said the hotel would be closing on the day I was to check out. Employees rightfully upset. No bar or restaurant in the hotel. Common areas with lots of stuff laying around - chairs, couch cushions, etc.

Pretty bad overall
The pictures look significantly better than the property, which is run down, not clean, and musty. The people working there were very nice, but I was given the wrong price information about a car service they recommended to the airport, which caused a problem upon arriving at the airport and learning of the higher price. Would definitely not recommend it.

Check in was a relatively simple process and everything was done quickly. The room itself while spacious for new york appeared to have some flaws. There were metal hooks jutting from the wide of the bed so if you weren't careful you could easily catch yourself on it and hurt yourself. Bed as quite creaky as well and the shower overflowed around the back of the sink to toilet when in use for only a few minutes as the water didnt appear to drain. Bathroom didnt appear very waterproof tight. Location wise it was only a few blocks away from times square and less for the port authority which made catching our bus a breeze. We were also able to have our bags held while we travelled around on our last day in the city. Overall it was a good stay but the room could do with some improvements.

Location good for us!
Beds were comfortable and location close to our daughters place, the water front and many restaurants to eat at within walking distance.

We were put in a room on the first floor that was on a main NYC thoroughfare. We had to keep the blackout shade down on our tiny window, because people were walking by and looking into our room. The ceiling had paint peeling off it it, and the air conditioner was LOUD....probably to try to keep the noise of the traffic from the room. It didn't. I am a travel agent, and the room for my clients was on the 4th floor and apparently a lot nicer. They slam a $28 recreation fee on the rooms, because they have a pool table and a coffee machine.

Review of Cachet Boutique Hotel
Stay was good. The table lamps in my room were non functional. The bathroom door glass needs to be cleaned. The hotel has an odor similar to a manfume, not unpleasant but strong. The free newspaper at the front desk is Epoch Times. Nice staff, clean enough. Pleasant stay.

We were in room 102, which was on the ground floor right next to 41st street. It was very noisy, with traffic, horns blowing, sirens and people talking and yelling.

Location is a Gem, but Room Could Use Improvements* Pros: - The standout feature of this property is undeniably its unbeatable location. It's within a leisurely stroll of Times Square and other major attractions, truly immersing you in the vibrant ambiance of New York City. - Safety is a strong point, with the NYPD building nearby, this surely has to be a safe place :) - For foodies, there's no shortage of excellent dining options in close proximity. - TheTimes Square metro station just a 5-minute walk away which is great if you want to catch the subway. Cons: - Unfortunately, the room itself is not that spacious, which might pose an issue for those seeking more room to relax. - Surprisingly, there was no electric water kettle in the room, a standard amenity in most accommodations worldwide. This omission was unexpected and inconvenient. - Another letdown was the absence of complimentary drinking water in the room. This too was a surprise to me. This property excels in terms of location, safety, and nearby dining options, but there's definite room for improvement in terms of room size and basic amenities like an electric kettle and complimentary drinking water. It's a decent choice for those prioritizing location, but other aspects could be enhanced to make the stay more comfortable.

It lacked some basic amenities, like an iron/board. They listed the room as multi-view, but in reality, our room window looked out into another window that looked out into a courtyard.

Staff was rather nice. Upon walking in you'd think this would be a very fancy place, it is not.... motel 6 has better rooms as far as I'm concerned, weird windowless AC unit, squeaky spring bed that broke the back, no actual privacy to bathroom as it's an outdoor sliding door. Hallways were aged and weathered, duct tape holding carpet down in areas, garbage bags in hallways. The courtyard areas were a nice touch but did not make up for the price of a room. Would never stay here again.

They try very hard
HVAC went out. Room was 80 degrees for one night. I requested fresh bedding after a sweaty night, which was done. Wood floors seemed very dusty. There was no real chairi n my room. I booked here because it was a short walk to Javit’s Center which I attended an event at. Neighborhood is safe, hotel security is good. Deli across street gives a discount to guests. Used a suggested car service to get back to LGA which was a good experience. Hotel is very close to a CVS for H2O, etc. Room had a fridge, plenty of clean quality towels and daily room make up. Staff was very customer oriented. Would not be my 1st choice, but there are not a lot of hotels near the convention center. Rate was reasonable compared to some others in area that look about the same quality from the outside.

The staff have been friendly and helpful. The hotel is definitely decent for the price. The only minor thing is that it rained the night we arrived and there are these stairs that come down from the 3rd floor in the outdoor area but come inside versus stopping outside. Water was running down the stairs onto the carpet just outside our room. The outdoor space is amazing though.
