"Grateful to have been able to make last-minute reservations at this ocean view hotel in the Outer Banks July 4th weekend. Nice spacious well accommodated rooms-quiet, clean, safe. People sitting on the outside upper decks enjoying the breeze. Many historic aspects- from the photos on the walls to the upper library. Friendly morning staff, though late evening check-in was fully automated. No morning coffee or breakfast on-site because they don’t have a cook; but the hotel provided generous coupons for free breakfast nearby."

"We really enjoyed our stay! We booked this hotel for the private beach access, and it was exactly what we wanted. Even though we stayed on the motel side near the street, the beach was less than a five-minute walk away. The private access leads directly to the beach, making it incredibly convenient. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they were perfect for our family since we only used them to shower, change, nap, and relax between beach trips. Items like a blow dryer and iron are available upon request at the front desk due to past thefts. A special shoutout to Shaun (sorry if I misspelled your name!). He was working during a busy holiday, constantly helping guests, cleaning the property, and keeping everything running smoothly—all while remaining friendly, professional, and accommodating. His outstanding customer service made our stay even better. We’d definitely stay here again!"

"What an incredible value. Clean, comfortable rooms (A/C worked better than any I've ever encountered), friendly, efficient staff, fantastic location. You simply can't beat the price for what/where you get. Perfect for our needs. I'd book again."

"The room was clean but the use of a high fragrance cleaner gave us a headache. Thankfully we were able to air it out a little. We never came in contact with staff. The property was well maintained for being beach side and the rooms being newly renovated was pleasant. For the price and what we got it was very fair."

"The staff were so hospitable and the breakfast was amazing! Our shower nozzle was a little messed up and the doors seemed to have needed some maintenance but it wasn’t too bad. We enjoyed our stay greatly and would come back again!"
