Nagano Prefecture Trip

It was our last night and it was fun to stay on manmade island and take a walk in the morning to see new version of Tokyo. Not as clean on those streets for some reason but very spacious. The sauna, pools and such were not included in price and located in a shared area with shopping mall. If you arrive with bags go on the other side where shopping mall is so you can take an elevator instead of carrying it through a big span of stairs from the main street entrance.

Excellent Hotel, very traditional. Beautiful gardens with amazing Koi fish. Great breakfast with Japanese and western choices. Located near all the joy of Tokyo

I highly recommend hotel Gracery for a pleasant stay in Tokyo. Although the rooms are small but they are very clean with good amenities. The location is great. The staff are very professional and helpful. They go out of their way to assist you. Debbie, one of the receptionists helped us get a taxi to cruiseship port. She made sure we were getting the taxi in a timely manner and helped moving our luggages. She was extremely helpful and kind.

The Knot was clean, well located, and has a great bakery in the lobby! It was great as a first place to stay for me and my two friends. The room is small, but we expected that. The lobby and second floor offer extra places to sit and eat outside of the room which was great! Staff in the lobby were always very pleasant and helpful. The bakery in the lobby offers well priced baked goods and bagel sandwiches as well. There’s a Family Mart just down the street that we enjoyed visiting and taking our items to eat in the park across the street. Shinjuku station is about 15-20 mins from the hotel, but there’s a closer subway stop and even closer bus stop that we used more often. I would recommend looking into airport shuttle services if you’re arriving from Narita as arriving to Shinjuku station can be overwhelming for first time visitors in Japan. I would recommend the Knot as a place to stay! It always felt safe and clean.
