"Family of 5, booked 2 rooms with ensuites. Everything was great from the amenities to the food and helpful staff. The Ryokan is around a 300-500m walk from the ski lifts however they offer a shuttle service every morning. You can also reserve the shuttle at other times to head out to restaurants etc."

"Overall very nice accommodation and the shuttle driver was very nice. However, whoever actually manages the property really needs to do better with communication. The day of my arrival I was still trying to figure out how to actually get to and check into the property since no instructions were provided. I had to try to contact them multiple times and also had to reach out to hotels.com multiple times. I’ve been to Japan to snowboard before, I don’t need my hand held. However, traveling internationally is stressful enough and I want to know when I arrive at my destination that I’ll be able to get into the accommodation that I paid for and relax. Not walk around with a bunch of luggage/gear, hoping that I can get in at some point. In the end, I was able to access the accommodation without issue but again, communication is not that hard. All I needed was a message explaining the procedure and how to access the accommodation and I didn’t get that info until just before arriving. "
