"A beautiful pub in a quiet village in Hampshire. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. I felt at home and will definitely stay here again when in Andover. "
"Check in was a bit clunky but my room was clean and comfortable. I was initially told the only dining option was a barbeque then informed there was a limited menu available. Had a steak which was fine.
Breakfast was tasty and spot on time."
"Clean, comfy, quiet accommodation in the heart of Amesbury. Perfect for exploring nearby Stonehenge and Salisbury, and for visiting the army bases. The takeaway breakfast pack was very welcome. We would recommend and stay here again. Thank you 😊 "
"Absolute gem of a find!
Beautiful Inn, friendly staff.
Great menu and the food was amazing!
Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning "

10/10 Excellent
"An excellent stay, with very friendly staff. The leisure facilities are a little tired, but still perfectly fine for what you need. Highly recommended and I look forward to stay again."
"Arrived late Friday night to find we have been upgraded to an apartment accessed from the car park.
Apartments are very nice with a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The kitchen and bathroom welcome packs had everything needed for your first night if you have forgotten anything. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be there, but a welcome bag of ice in the freezer!
Walk-in shower was a bonus equipped with separate Shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The bed was a nice size double and each room had separate air conditioning controls.
Breakfast under the auspices of June was excellent, all credit to the Chef. Sunday seemed to be manic as a wedding party had stayed. June and her young helper worked their socks off as everything seemed to run out at the same time. Yet the kitchen produced even better food (to my liking) that day.
Because of the central location in the city there was no need to move the car at all with everything in a short walking distance.

Now car parking is extra on first come basis and is open to the public. we paid £330 for 2 nights, 2 breakfasts and car parking, that seems to be the price for 1 night in the apartment.
For the quality of the hotel, maybe a better quality of toilet paper, and Apartment 2 door slams hard. Sure we may have upset the neighbours. So if that's all I can bring up, you can trust us to return."
"The room was nice if somewhat dark - dark wallpaper and dark furniture. The bathroom had a big shower but signs of mould in places. Sadly the shower didn’t work brilliantly, changing pressure and temperature. The spa was great had a fabulous massage. "
"What a fantastic stay at The Retreat! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a place where every little detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
The facilities are truly faultless — from the beautifully designed rooms to the immaculate communal spaces. The spa was absolutely top-notch, offering a relaxing and luxurious experience that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. A special mention must go to Leanne in the spa, whose exemplary customer service made our visit even more memorable.
The heated outdoor pool was a real treat, such a unique and relaxing touch.
Breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of high-quality options that catered to all tastes. Every bite reflected the same attention to detail seen throughout the rest of the hotel.
The staff, without exception, were warm, professional, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their dedication and friendliness truly set The Retreat apart.
Highly recommend, and we’ll absolutely be back for another visit soon."
