"Just got back from a 6-day break at Jumeirah Muscat Bay, and I can honestly say I’d definitely go back. The hotel is stunning — beautifully maintained and set in such a peaceful, scenic location. The staff were absolutely amazing: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. We also had a couples’ spa treatment which was perfect — so professional and relaxing that we both felt incredible afterwards. A special shout-out to the yoga instructor who taught the Ashtanga yoga sessions on the beach. She was an excellent teacher — so calm, relaxed, and patient. Ending the day with yoga by the sea was truly a highlight of the trip. The excursions offered by the hotel were also very good, especially the one to the Grand Mosque with Wabar Tours, which was well-organized and insightful. However, the dolphin watching and snorkelling tour was a bit disappointing, particularly in how a minor onboard accident involving a passenger was handled. If I had to mention one small area for improvement, it would be to have a few more dining options in the evenings, as we sometimes found it difficult to get reservations. Overall, though, Jumeirah Muscat Bay is a fantastic place to unwind and recharge. We left feeling refreshed and are already looking forward to our next visit."

"Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was exceptional — it’s a special hotel that perfectly combines understated luxury with genuine warmth. The rooms are stunning — beautifully designed, with the most comfortable beds and lovely products. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and the pool area was gorgeous — spacious cabanas (which are free to use!) and very attentive service, with staff always quick to bring water and towels. The gym was excellent too — high-spec machines, cold towels and water on hand, everything you could want. The spa area is nice with lovely changing rooms and a steam room but it could make even better use of the space with perhaps some wellness activities like yoga in future. We had access to the Club Lounge from our second night, which was a real highlight. Afternoon tea was a lovely way to unwind from the sun, and the cocktails between 5–7 were fabulous. The service here — and throughout the hotel — was truly standout. A particularly special touch was the way the team recognised my mum’s retirement — with a beautiful card, cake, and a lovely arrangement of dates and figs. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the staff went out of their way to congratulate her on this milestone. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories — thank you to everyone at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat for such an unforgettable stay. We can’t wait to return."

"Great hotel in the centre of Muscat, walking distance to some restaurants, a shopping mall and supermarkets. Very decent Gym with good equipment, clean and fully functional. Breakfast was varied with good options, eggs, fruits, fresh waffle and good coffee! "
