The main point of getting this hotel was location location location. That’s what I paid the price for. I thought it would have been a much nicer room, since I’ve paid less for more. The room was very compact. Double Queen room supposedly best for families but still very small with 2 chairs at a small table inside. Tv was no good. I know the point of Monterey is to be out and to enjoy what the rest of the city has to offer, not to enjoy your hotel room. But still, it’s nice to enjoy the night when you come in off the town and again in the morning when you’re getting ready.
Staff was notably nice at check in and again at checkout. The room was quiet, on the third floor and away from the elevator, just got lucky on that. Or maybe it’s included in the higher price we paid. Hot water had good pressure. Towels and linens were clean. We had no trouble with a parking space somewhere on the property even with coming and going a couple times. But the room was terribly hot and stuffy. It did have a ceiling fan and a floor tower fan, still, terribly hot all night. That was an unpleasant surprise.
I will not choose to stay at Lovers Point again. I was disappointed coming here with my family for mother’s day weekend. It was a selfish spur of the moment, something I thought would have just been so nice. I was totally disappointed.
