"The hotel was a beautful place to stay But the rudness of the older gentleman was to much telling us where to park our car or or always watching what you do makes you uncomfortable. The wooden fire should be more clear as you use the wood for the fire only to find out your being charged which is no where to be found on paper or online. So felt a little like a scheme for money at the end which ruined the trip a little. We stayed when the weather dropped so we had to use the fire and asking for extra wood we were yelled at that it was to late etc and the weather was 2 degrees. If you walked around the property you were followed by the older man only for him to yell. The breakfast was horrible! Eggs were just yellow water. For us we wouldnt stay at this property again! Just because of the extra charges and the older man. "

"We had a great experience at Pousada Suíça Mineira Garden, in Monte Verde, MG. The location is peaceful, surrounded by trees, 6 minutes by car or 25-30 minutes on foot from the town center. It's ideal for those looking for a quiet place to relax after exploring the area. The highlight of our stay was the hospitality of Dona Dirce, who gave us a free upgrade to a spacious chalet and helped us book a visit to the Falconry School, which we loved. The chalet was comfortable and well-equipped, although the décor was a bit outdated. The bathroom had two showers, but one didn’t work – since the other was perfect, we didn’t report it. The breakfast was excellent, with fruits, juices, bread, eggs, bacon, cakes, and delicious sweets. As a suggestion, a “Special Coffee” from the region, such as those from São Lourenço or Carmo de Minas, would be a great addition. We also appreciated the PDF guide sent by the hotel via WhatsApp, with recommendations for restaurants and tours, which we followed and enjoyed. Overall, Pousada Suíça Mineira Garden offers comfort, tranquility, and attentive service. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and relaxing stay in Monte Verde. "
