"Lovely large car park upon arrival, very grateful! Met by very pleasant and friendly hotel staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. Everything I needed was there, any questions I had were answered quickly by the staff in a friendly manner. I was out for the evening and was greeted warmly by the reception staff upon my return, asking if I had had an enjoyable evening. This was lovely. Self serve breakfast in the morning was served in the restaurant which was spotless. The food was plentiful and hot. Plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juices. A lovely relaxed stay and would highly recommend. Very good value for money."

"This was a 1-night stay for work. I was in room 220 which was a long walk from reception. Car park was free, but at the front of the hotel, filled up quickly. The room however was huge as was the ensuite. TV and Wifi okay. Decor a bit dated. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"A clean hotel and a pleasant stay for 2 nights. Parking is extremely limited but the West End Road car park is only a short walk away and both reasonable cost and easy to pay via the MiPermit app (which will give you a Vat receipt afterwards). The buffet style breakfast was good and the hotel was very clean and the staff helpful."

"The stay was good, but one day I come to the hotel and they had taken all my belongings from my room down to the reception. They could not explain why they had done this, I find that very strange, I was not checking out that day. I find it strange that people can’t say sorry when they have done something wrong, a bit dissapointed about that. Rest of the stay was very good."

"We were pleasantly surprised that after seeing a few so-so reviews, that was not our experience at all - we had a great stay! The house and gardens are beautiful and while you'd expect a little wear and tear of a property that age, it was very impressive and looked after. We had one of the lodges at the side of the garden and really liked the little terrace outside our door that looked over the garden. The room couldn't be faulted, a very comfortable bed, lots of space and the bathroom was well equiped and spacious. Everything was clean and well maintained and the rainhead shower was strong and refreshing. We didn't see many staff, but the ones we did see were polite and helpful. There was a lot of choice at breakfast and I had the full vegetarian option - excellent scrambld eggs in particular. Overnight, strings of lights lit the garden and it was lovely to sit on the chairs they provided on our little terrace. We've reason to visit the area regularly now and we will try to stay there again."
