Only a brief overnight stay en-route to the Kruger Park so didn't see much of it or use the facilities outside the chalet. What we did see was excellent and we would return. Spacious 2 bedroom chalet with river view, bathrooms good and beds comfortable.

Everything about Needles Lodge was excellent. From our room, which was spacious and beautifully finished, to the unbelievable food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We loved having the animals wander by and spent hours by the delightful pool. The lodge's main areas are great too with lots of books for reading about the animals. The staff were really helpful and kind, it was just the most wonderful few days and we can't wait to return!

An amazing venue on the banks of the Crocodile River, which is the southern end of Kruger National Park. About five minutes drive from the entrance to KNP.

What can I say other than I would love to return year after year to this place. From the staff who greeted us to the ranger and tracker who accompanied us in open Land Rovers on our small group safaris, every single person gave us care, attention and made us feel so very welcome. We saw amazing wildlife (6 of the Magnificent Seven), and even did some exciting off-roading in pursuit of a glimpse of the rarely seen African wild dogs who were running in a pack. Honestly, I could have driven all day...

We liked the hosts Colin and Carolien so much. They could not do enough for us. We asked for a bigger room and we got the biggest room I have ever had in a lodge! They even drove us to get food and were such great company. The lodge was brilliant - very African. Zebras came right up to us! the wildlife in Marloth Park is very tame. The lodges are African style so quite dark as designed to be cool. Colin and Carolien had a generator which worked when the power was out which was often.

This is an amazing hotel, delicious food and drink is all included and the service is friendly but exemplary.
On arrival we were on a game drive within the hour and saw the big 5 in one go as well as lots of other animals, birds and reptiles. Our ranger was called Lazarus and he made our stay and drives fun and very interesting and informative. He went over and above what you would expect and always found us different things to see every day.
As this lodge has it's own grounds of several...
