"Old, small hotel. (Think plaque said 1926.) Very nice staff, but few. Single receptionist had to show us to room and had little time to explain things. Elevator is hand-crank operated; so, requires attendant. (That's good because can help with luggage, if there, but hurried. No place to hang towels in bath, nor full mirror in room, and incomprehensible a/c controls. Great location."

"worst experience ever. At checkin, I was given a key to a room that was locked from the inside. After going back down to the desk, I told the receptionist that it was deadbolted so someone must be inside. She kept saying no one was and that she’d send maintenance. My mom who has mobility issues had to sit on the floor for at least 20 minutes while we waited for someone to come unlock the door. I even went back down to the desk to see why it was taking so long. The maintenance guy finally showed up and unlocked the door with some kind of tool. The balcony door was unlocked when we finally got inside. The phone inside the room didn’t work. I discovered this when I called to try to find out why the internet wasn’t working. Because apparently you need to be connected to WiFi to watch tv. I called the hotel from my cell phone 4 times & nobody answered. I went back down to the desk and the guy working told me the internet worked. We went back & forth because how are you telling me it works when I spent the last 30 minutes trying to get it to work? Finally he said he’d send someone. Maybe half an hour later, the same guy who unlocked the door shows up. Now this strange man is standing in front of the tv, remote in hand while everyone is in pajamas, in bed. After trying to connect the tv to the internet UNSUCCESSFULLY for about 10 minutes, he left. The front desk guy knocks on the door with a key saying we have a new room. We had to move in the middle of the night just to watch tv."

"the hotel was great except for one thing (trivial) there were no bedside charging ports.. the setup was there for it, but the actual plugs were not. there was even an alarm clock with usb charging slots that had 0 power and so did not work as well. i say this is trivial because there were a lot of wall plugs by the chair and on the desk had a multi charging station with both plugs and usb ports. its just that i prefer the ability to have my phone by the bedside. everything else was grear. the room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. "

"Staff was nice, rooms clean, housekeeping checked to see if clean linens needed each day. I would've preferred cooked breakfast, eggs, sausage, potatoes etc, rather than continental breakfast."
