"The hotel is very nice overall! We loved the games area in the lobby! Maybe it’s just that they’re extremely short staffed for the size of the place, but when disappointments keep happening you start to feel let down. Expect long lines at the front desk for check in or anything else. We couldn't get a response about getting an extra blanket for the room and they only have an automated system to help you with guest service. We also had to wait a couple hours for our luggage to get to the room after we arrived which was inconvenient. Also, heads up - we weren’t made aware at check in that the pool/hot tub area closes at 9:45 pm and that you need a reservation after 2:30 pm so we weren’t able to use either when we were there. That was a bummer for the kids since that’s why we booked this hotel!"

"I had a great trip, and would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Chicago. The hotel and rooms were clean, the hotel offered lots of services and was in a great location. In addition to a great location there was a beautiful view from the hotel windows! "

"I loved this hotel. Very classy, well decorated combining the historic aspects of the area with the buildings original high quality finishings and making it all look seamless. With that said, the view was only that of a nearby brick building but it did keep it much more quiet. They even had earplugs in the room as we were above an alley with some early morning beeping from garbage trucks. Those little touches mean more these days to me I guess. There are amazing restaurants nearby, Gotham Bagels doubles as a pizzeria at night and it’s the best deep dish I’ve ever had in my half century of living. Pretty sure we ate 75% of our meals over the first 2 days from that building. They offered an online menu for the breakfast and it was super convenient. Also a Starby’s across the street did pickup only and it was amazingly quick and easy in the mornings. If you want a sit down breakfast, there’s a fancy cafe in the building with pretty good food and speedy service. Within VERY easy walking distance of Deerfield Station for train people. We took the bus to McCormick for the con and that was also an easy walk down to Michigan Ave. We parked a half block away for 40 a day but could have valeted for 55. All in all a great location with class and I will stay again. "
