"We had an amazing stay and would definitely visit again! Breakfast: Plenty of options for all of us who prefer a variety of things. The omelettes, waffles, gallo pinto, and fresh fruit were some of our favorites. Pizza and Bar: We went off site for most other meals but found ourselves having a pizza each day from Nari. We also sat and had drinks while watching March Madness in the bar. Rusaul was an awesome server and positive part of our experience. Surfing: The teenage kids did surfing lessons one day. There are a ton of other options, but I booked through the hotel and it was basically the same cost and got to do everything right at the beach by our hotel. Joshua was a really great teacher and the kids got up right away. Rooms: We had a 2nd floor beachfront room and enjoyed it. Though it's a standard room other than the view so we didn't spend much time in there. Location: Perfect location in the middle of the beach strip of Tamarindo, so we could walk either direction on the beach or in town and be anywhere we wanted within 10 minutes on foot. Pool: We didn't plan to use the pools much since we were at the beach but ended up having a nice hang at the pool across the street. Nice resort style pool with tons of sitting, and a great time at the swimup bar. "

"The room was wonderful and bright. The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. The kids club is amazing and the pool is pristine and the perfect temperature. and it is only a five minute walk away from a stunning beach. i definitely recommend the gilded iguana."
