"This is truly a tropical experience. Lush green plants and beautiful orchids abound with plenty of koi and lotus filled water pools. There were even waterfalls on the way our beautiful pool suite. We felt truly pampered with the exceptional service by all staff members. The Deeva Restaurant is where we basically had all of our meals because we loved it so much. Breakfast was included and the menu variety was vast and so very fresh and delicious. Dinner had so many options and everything we tried was very good. Overall, this has been one of the best hotel stays my husband and I have ever experienced. Last but not least book a treatment at the Spa. Again, simply EXCEPTIONAL. 5-Star all around. "

"We had a wonderful 7-day stay at Alaya! The staff was amazing- always ready to help make our stay comfortable. Housekeeping was done twice a day. Breakfast was excellent and included both a buffet and a menu to order from. They customized many options for us to vegetarian versions. The hotel also arranged day trips for us with a personal driver for sightseeing. Yoga Barn was nextdoor so it was an easy walk back after an evening class. There were many restaurants for dinner options within walking distance. I would highly recommend Alaya to anyone visiting Ubud."

"Very good but restaurant had some problems, misunderstood the order 2 times and also ran out of options on the menu. At 3 times we ordered something that they had just ran out of. "

"This place was lovely to spend some solo time, there were many couples too. Its away from the busyness so you will need car to move around but they offer a free shuttle into the center of Ubud. The staff was truly delightful and my favorite part of the experience. They were very helpful. The Chef was wonderful and I booked a cooking class. Also did their offering workshop and loved it. The bed and pillows were very comfy and everything felt very clean (Im super sensitive to cleaning product scents and had no issues yet everyting very clean.) I will return again! "

"Check in was a little protracted. I didn’t think I needed a detailed explanation of how to find things on the property using the map. Turns out I did as the map is somewhat confusing. Rooms are lovely, amenities for bath and different types of pillow options were a treat. My room came with “butler service” which is really nothin different than you’d get from any nicer hotel…turn down service etc. I was very disappointed that my room choice didn’t allow for the in room chef and breakfast did not come with my stay."

"This 48 room hotel is amazing and a hidden gem in Ubud. Close to everything and on a quiet street, the staff is so helpful and they offer a unique experience. Many included programs to learn and experience Balinese culture. A pristine infinity pool I could swim laps in as others also enjoyed the pool. Plus breakfast, included and top notch. Fresh everything, so many choices and the most amazing surroundings to enjoy the food peacefully. "

"The staff, the service, the food, the resort and amenities - all absolutely brilliant! The downside, however, was the noise disruptions and beach inaccessibility due to the conservation work taking place right in front of the resort. In order to compensate for the inconvenience the hotel manager agreed to offer our group breakfast and 2x meal coupons for the 2x days that we were there. This was much appreciated and the service from the staff was exceptional. Special acknowledgement to Ayu, Wira and all the chefs. We were all vegetarian/vegan and the restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs. Mr Chathur, Sudi, Wahyu from front desk and management really took care of our needs and did their best to compensate for any inconveniences caused by the conservation work. We had no regrets staying here primarily because of the staff and exceptional service we received which made up for the disruptions. Candi dasa is also a really beautiful part of Bali that's not overcrowded and busy. Perfect for relaxation and quality time with family and in nature. "

"Large room by the pool was amazing, felt private and relaxed because of the design of hotel. Very close to monkey forest and shops/restaurants. Staff all very friendly and kind. Had massage on arrival which was amazing. "
