Search Pet-Friendly Hotels in Maddalena Island

We booked Hotel Vecchia Fonte after reading guests ratings, and then had serious worries that we had got it wrong this time. We worried that Palau was a small town but not a quaint old Sardinian town, by a car park, busy port with ferry boats, but all of our worries were unfounded. Great accomodation. Friendly staff. Awesome breakfasts. Room cleaning immaculate. Location is fantastic too, close to the coach park, to the main centre and about 10 minutes walk to the beach. My only one criticism is that the hotel amenities state "guest access to outdoor pool" but this is not the case and so Expedia is misleading. There is no access to a pool. Beautifully lush, landscaped gardens frame this luxurious designer hotel. Rooms are each set in a generous space and are thoughtfully designed and well appointed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast in a smart, airy dining room looking out over the gardens. Nice pool and bar with Happy Hour. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

This property is okay for a last minute one night stay as it is tired and worn out. Our toilet seat was very loose, the shower door didn't fit properly and sleeping on the waterproof undersheet was delightful! We were unable to sit out on our terrace area as the bushes were overgrown and it was crawling with ants. It's overpriced for what you get.

We both loved the setting, the surroundings and the proportion of our accommodations. Well designed, spacious bedroom and ensuite with a large and private covered terrace, like an outside living room. Breakfast was served by the owner on our terrace and was both plentiful and delicious. The pool and loungers were ideal for a morning swim or post beach dip. Town was a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk which was so convenient, just close enough with all the facilities of a bustling tourist hub,...

Excellent place to stay and the patron was very helpful

We had a lovely stay at Residence Sophia. We were given a lovely greeting and help with our bags. The cabin was exactly as advertised -clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The grounds were well maintained with very nice landscaping. The two swimming pools were brilliant, warm, clean and not crowded. Résidence Sophia is also in a great location for exploring the island easily via the T10. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Giovanni's place was beyond my expectation. Very easy to find and reach with a car. Close to a lot of lovely towns and beaches, e.g. Golfo Aranci & Olbia, beach Marinella and Pittsburgh. The place is on top of a hill overlooking the amazing nature. So tranquil...a cup of tea and a book on the terrace was a lovely part of this trip.
