We booked Hotel Vecchia Fonte after reading guests ratings, and then had serious worries that we had got it wrong this time. We worried that Palau was a small town but not a quaint old Sardinian town, by a car park, busy port with ferry boats, but all of our worries were unfounded. Huge room. New hotel. Easy walk to town and beach. Nothing to do with the hotel - you have to reserve a place on the beach.

Lovely staff, and well apointed hotel. Lovely rooms. Very modern. Nice small pool area, with bar service to the poolside.

Great accomodation. Friendly staff. Awesome breakfasts. Room cleaning immaculate. Location is fantastic too, close to the coach park, to the main centre and about 10 minutes walk to the beach. My only one criticism is that the hotel amenities state "guest access to outdoor pool" but this is not the case and so Expedia is misleading. There is no access to a pool. Great hotel with lovely welcoming staff. They made us an excellent breakfast as we had an early flight - enough for lunch as well. Would definitely recommend.

Really pleased with the hotel and staff, friendly and accommodating. Good location with shops, restaurants and the beach. There is free parking as well.

The rooftop terrace was lovely with great views. The food and drink were also excellent, as were the staff. Had a room upgrade which included the use of the spa - the sauna was one of the best I’ve used and also the massages we had on top were amazing. Really liked the location as it was a little out from the centre but made it nicer to walk more.

Beautifully lush, landscaped gardens frame this luxurious designer hotel. Rooms are each set in a generous space and are thoughtfully designed and well appointed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast in a smart, airy dining room looking out over the gardens. Nice pool and bar with Happy Hour. I would strongly recommend this hotel.
